About Residence Inn Edinburgh by Marriott

A kitchenette in every one of the 107 suites is the detail that sets Residence Inn Edinburgh by Marriott apart, giving guests the option to cook rather than rely entirely on eating out during longer visits to the city. Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and en-suite bathrooms, and family and accessible rooms are available across the hotel's eight floors, reached by lift. Air conditioning and drinks in the room add to the comfort, though some rooms have been reported as not always well maintained.

Breakfast is included and offers a good range of options, served alongside the general facilities of a bar, gym, spa and sauna on site. Business travellers are catered for with meeting rooms and business services, while room service, laundry and concierge services cover the practical side of a stay. Pets are welcome, and staff are noted for being friendly and helpful.

The hotel sits within easy reach of Edinburgh's attractions, with restaurants, pubs and entertainment nearby, plus golf, fishing and watersports options for those wanting to venture further afield. Parking is available nearby for a fee. It's a straightforward, well-equipped choice for anyone wanting more space and self-catering flexibility on a trip to Edinburgh.

Booked this hotel from 9am to 5pm through Dayuse.com. Arrived 1 hr early and was offered breakfast while waiting for room to be ready. It was the best breakfast (loved the fresh blue berry croissants!) compared to breakfasts at other hotels during my trip in Scotland! The staffs are lovely and very polite. The studio is clean and has everything I need. The location is perfect for me (a senior) to easily walk to the center and spend time visiting Edinburgh castle.

The newly refurbished rooms are very nice, there's a lot more space than a typical hotel and you get gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows. No issues with noise or heat control. Breakfast was reasonable, what there is is of a fair standard but options are limited. Unlimited hot drinks is a bonus though. The staff were excellent, friendly and actually seem like they enjoy their job. The location is amazing. Surrounded by the food outlets of the university, by a big park, but a short walk into the centre. It's a good escape from the bustle of the Golden Mile, without having to travel too far

The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were excellent. I was able to sleep very well and uninterrupted throughout my stay. The room was quite spacious and tastefully decorated. The location of the hotel is ideal—you can walk everywhere, and there is a supermarket very close by. The breakfast variety was decent, but the taste could be improved. There weren’t many particularly appealing options, and the egg selections were limited.

John and the front desk staff were great and accommodating, felt very welcome. The newly renovated rooms looked good. There was a good selection of hot and cold breakfast items. Location wise, lots of green space and shops.
