About Tigerlily
The bar and restaurant at Tigerlily set the tone here, drawing a buzzy crowd on George Street in the heart of Edinburgh even before you factor in the rooms upstairs. Breakfast gets particular praise, and the atmosphere in the evenings makes the ground floor as much a destination for locals as for hotel guests. Staff are friendly and attentive, though service can slow down when things get busy.
The 33 rooms are spacious and thoughtfully decorated, with comfortable beds, en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning, plus drinks available in room. Practical extras include free WiFi, a lift, laundry service and porter services, with accessible rooms also available. Beyond food and drink, the hotel has a gym, spa and sauna, an indoor swimming pool, and a garden, and it also operates as a wedding venue.
Edinburgh Waverley station is just over a mile away, making it straightforward to arrive without a car, though free on-site parking is provided for those driving. Edinburgh Zoo is within reach for a day out, and George Street itself puts guests among plenty of nearby pubs, bars and restaurants for further exploring.

What guests say
We enjoyed our stay at Tiger Lily and would definitely stay here again. Our room was beautiful, with enormously high ceilings, hardwood floors, and a fireplace that gave it a lot of character. The robes and bathroom amenities were a really nice touch as well. The staff was consistently kind and helpful throughout our stay. I also loved the layout of the hotel. There were only two rooms on each floor, key access was required, and it felt very private and secure. One thing to know before booking is that Tiger Lily is also a very busy restaurant and bar. It seemed lively all day and especially busy at night, so at times it felt more like a restaurant with rooms upstairs than a traditional hotel experience. Our stay included breakfast, which was excellent, although we were only able to enjoy it once because it didn’t start until 8AM and we already had activities planned. Overall, we had a great experience and would absolutely return.

The decor here is lovely, and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. They had a DJ playing in the background, which added a great vibe but wasn't too loud, so we were still able to catch up. We did the brunch, which includes a cocktail, half a bottle of Prosecco, a small continental breakfast, and a main. I ordered the eggs Benedict and my friend had the French toast. The food was average overall, the bacon could have been crispier! The music, drinks and good service made up for it.

Beautiful, high end hotel with a fun, whimsical vibe. The location is excellent & the staff were friendly & helpful. Our room was quiet, had a very comfortable bed & a great shower with lots of hot water. The breakfast & cappuccinos were delicious with generous portions. This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. We highly recommend it!

Have stayed here and dined. Beautiful rooms. Massive with optional romantic red lighting. Hair dryer and straighteners available in the room! Will 100% recommend and stay here again if ever in Edinburgh. Restaurant is beautifully decorated and food/cocktails lovely.
