New Forest Activities

Fantastic experience with excellent guide and equipment 🛶 We booked a Beaulieu Estuary Guided Canoe experience for myself and my wife at the start of May. The booking was simple and easy online with clear instructions, lots of guidance on what to expect and what to bring on the day. We were fortunate that we had a beautiful day, arrived 30 mins early parked up before our briefing with our guide. The parking and setup is excellent, with lots of space, toilets and changing area. There’s seating undercover and easy access to the river/slipway. We headed off in a small group, ourselves and one other couple, to begin our canoe. With some instructions and guidance we jumped in, heading out into the estuary as we learnt how to work as a team. Our route took us up the estuary to Beaulieu village, before turning back to pass the slipway and down to Buckler’s Hard, and then finally back to the slipway. Overall we were out for the full two hours, had a fantastic time and managed to get the taste for canoeing 👏👍

Lovely instructor lady for canoe paddle on the pretty Beaulieu river. Clean and tidy changing rooms and toilets. Free parking. The instructor was helpful, patient and well trained. She pointed out deer, moon jelly fish, we also saw egrets, Oyster catchers, cormorants. The area is interesting as many wealthy people live along the banks in their secluded houses. Well done New Forest Holidays.

Me and my 9-year-old visited yesterday for an archery session during half term, just to fill a gap in the day — and we’re really glad we did. We were both complete beginners, but we had a brilliant time in the sunshine learning how to shoot at the targets. Our instructor was friendly, patient, and really good at putting us both at ease. He was also excellent with my son, which made the experience even better. It was a fun, relaxed session and something a bit different to do together. We’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an enjoyable activity, whether you’re a complete beginner or just fancy trying something new.

Went for a morning winter paddling in a Canadian canoe on the river Beaulieu. Okay the weather was perfect and Rich and Ruth did a great job teaching us about the boats and taking us up the river explaining what we were seeing and pointing out wildlife. Rich is especially good energising the children and calming jittery adults new to the water
