Salters Cottage

The New Forest draws visitors for its open heathland, wild ponies and forest walks, with the coast not far beyond. Salters Cottage sits within three-quarters of an acre of grounds on a quiet lane, where a heated swimming pool (10m x 4m, open late May to late September) is the main draw. The property is a detached house spread across a main section and a separate annexe, sleeping 8 in five bedrooms and four bathrooms. Upstairs in the main house are a kingsize with dressing area and ensuite, a double with ensuite, and two further bedrooms (one with two singles, one with a single), served by a fourth bathroom with a roll-top bath. The annexe has its own open-plan living space with a super kingsize bed and shower room.

Downstairs, the main house has a sitting room with wood-burner and smart TV, a separate second living area, a dining room opening to decking, and a kitchen equipped for cooking—induction hob, electric range, dishwasher and the rest. Wifi and electricity are included; bed linen and towels are provided. The gardens are mostly lawned with decked areas, garden furniture and a fire pit; a shallow stream runs through the grounds some distance from the house. One dog stays free of charge, though the property is otherwise non-smoking. There is ample private parking and a welcome pack on arrival.
