Pond Cottage

Pond Cottage is a Grade II listed detached house set back from a country lane, surrounded by fields and reached via a long gravel drive. The main rooms spread across two floors: a ground-floor living space with a woodburner and TV opens into a kitchen and dining area with French doors onto a terrace, and a utility room with washer and dryer. A double bedroom with ensuite and separate toilet completes the ground floor. Upstairs are three further bedrooms—a kingsize, a double, and a single with a pull-out single bed—plus a bathroom with a bath and shower. The property sleeps up to eight people.

The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking, with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer. Heating is by gas central heating (partly underfloor) plus the woodburner in the living room. The enclosed garden has a lawn and terrace with garden furniture and a barbecue. One dog is welcome and stays free; there is private parking for three cars and an electric charging point (charged to the owner). Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included, and the initial fuel for the woodburner is provided. A travel cot and highchair are available on request. The cottage does not accept hen or stag parties.

Brockenhurst is five minutes by car, Lymington ten. A pub serving food sits half a mile away on foot. The New Forest itself surrounds the property, and the terrace and gardens attract deer, pheasants and various birds. No smoking inside.
