About Anacapri

Gyllyngvase beach is just down the road from Anacapri, making it an easy walk for a swim, a spot of watersports, or simply a stroll along the coast before heading into Falmouth town centre for shops, pubs and restaurants. The surrounding Cornwall National Landscape also gives plenty of scope for walking and cycling, while fishing spots are within reach for those who fancy a quieter pursuit.

Anacapri has 18 rooms across three floors, all with en-suite bathrooms, and some enjoy sea views. Rooms are kept clean and comfortable, and drinks can be brought to your room if you'd rather not head down to the bar. Breakfast is a highlight, with a good spread of options to set guests up for the day, and there's a snack bar and outdoor seating in the garden for relaxing later on.

Staff are on hand around the clock at the 24 hour reception, and free on-site parking makes arriving by car straightforward. With free WiFi throughout and a bar for evening drinks, Anacapri covers the practicalities well, leaving guests free to spend their time on the beach and in town rather than worrying about logistics.

This is definitely a two star hotel. Poor breakfast with no fruits and vegetables, old bathroom, old and worn towels and uncomfortable beds and pillows. For a five star hotel there are no toiletries in the bathroom or slippers, no safe. You can hear people from the neighboring rooms and the hallway, no elevator!! Not worth the price for what it offers.

This is not a five star hotel. My room was very basic and the bathroom was adapted for guests with mobility issues. Not what I wanted. Very limited and basic toiletries. The shower was covered in black mould, see photos. The outside security light flooded my room as the curtains did not fit. I've included a picture of my view. My cafetiere of coffee at breakfast had no coffee grounds in it, it tasted like instant. On the plus side the staff were friendly and helpful and the beach is a 2 minute walk. The station is a 5 minute walk. Town is 10 minutes, great location.

So this is definately not 5 star. Location and the one member of staff we encountered were lovely however the bathroom in our room was dirty ( see photos) and curtain ties were hanging off the wall. At this price we expected better.

A gem of a hotel. We visited in January '26 during the cold snap. Gylly beach cafe (best fish and chips ever!) over the road serves excellent food and drink so not far to walk for evening refreshment. Room was warm, comfy and spotless. Great sea view. Lovely hot shower. Full English Breakfast - pre booked the night before - was delicious and plentiful. Kettle & cups etc in the room, help yourself to as much Tea, Coffee, bottled water etc as you like from station in reception and make it in your room. Staff were universally cheerful, friendly and helpful. Very nice place to stay.
