The Falmouth Hotel

We only stayed one night but what a fabulous and grand hotel. The sea views from our room, the dining room and sumptuous lounge were breathtaking. Staff were so friendly and polite, the bedroom was incredibly spacious and the bathroom luxurious and sophisticated. Food was delicious and the sun shone for us making it a truly wonderful stay. We highly recommend this hotel and its friendly atmosphere. Look forward to a return visit very soon.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Falmouth Hotel. The staff were amazing from beginning to end. All the guest commented how helpful the staff were and a lot of our guest stayed at the hotel. Samantha was helpful in our meetings and communications during the planning. She is very organised and helps you get organised and decided what you want (e.g.sorting out the timeline for the day). On the day everything went great as far as we were aware because they were sorting everything behind the scenes. Also its a beautiful location for ceremony and reception and our guest had a great time playing games on the lawn, chatting on the terrace and on the dance floor.

The hotel is great over looking the sea , the rooms are spacious and the house keeping staff are on the ball. Emily and the reception staff were fantastic and the waiter staff were awesome nothing was a issue rapid service and the food was phenomenal the chefs and kitchen staff are banging with there food. The hotel has a spa Ali and Charlotte were fantastic and top class in there service plus if you stay at the hotel you get 20% off treatments I recommend the hot stone full body massage, there is also a pool and a sauna and a jacuzzi and a well equipped gym , the lobby is great for relaxing and watching the world 🌎 go by and there is a lounge area for our furry friends and there is outside seating and garden. If you come out of the sea facing side of the hotel and turn left within half a mile you have pendennis castle 🏰 and turn right within half a mile you have gyllyngvase beach and gylly beach cafe and Queen Mary's garden.

Honest review - Was working in the area and decided to book this hotel. Beautiful hotel and lovely views onto the sea, downstairs well kept + big car park. On arrival we arrived before check in time and we knew we would need to wait. We Asked reception about using the spa while we wait to check in at 3pm. Were told towels were downstairs, went down, got buzzed in by that receptionist. No towels? Decided to just go wait upstairs as no one was around to ask downstairs. Whilst we were waiting my dad went to ask that receptionist about the towels, was then told she would give them to us at reception..? Didn’t feel she was interested in accommodating us, even when talking seems to be elsewhere… not a great start. Went to check in at 3, room wasn’t ready - wasn’t too long a wait but if check in is at a set time needs to be ready. Can’t fault the room, clean, comfortable and quiet nights sleep. The hall way carpets to the bedrooms are tatty/ripped, not expected from the image this hotel is trying to create.. The food… £20 for fish and chips not worth it at all, frozen chips that hadn’t been cooked all the way though and had that horrible texture, “crushed” peas not mushy and tasted awful + Small fish. Not all evening staff but some acting like they weren’t at work, very unprofessional and we felt quite uncomfortable when your trying to eat and all you hear is constant laughing. Breakfast - continental options no problems, hot food however - ask for poached eggs came out fried, mushrooms and bacon over cooked massively then the sausage comes out with foil still attached on the end. Puts you off and clearly isn’t freshly cooked. egg Benedict was cold, don’t recommend the hot breakfast at all. Spa - nice pool and sauna. The women’s changing rooms flood very easily, whist showering water wasn’t draining down the plug, didn’t feel very clean. Such a shame as the hotel has massive potential, food needs sorting and some staff need hospitality training.. On departure reception was made aware of the food issues, but I want to make people aware of what the quality would be like if to book to stay here.
