Such a charming little restaurant with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The Smoked Duck Aubergine Salad was decent but didn’t particularly stand out. The rabbit stuffed with bacon and served with mustard sauce was very well cooked and tender. The veal chop with Roquefort butter and the crème caramel were both fairly average. I also really enjoyed the cocktails. Overall, a lovely place with a great atmosphere.

Super little authentic French Bistro above a pub in Farringdon very close to the tube. Greeted warmly when we arrived, sat down on a lovely table by the open Windows which was very pleasant on a warm Saturday lunch. Served quickly and efficiently by a very friendly Waitress who explained the menu which constantly changes I had the most delicious chicken liver pate, my brother had smoked duck breast and my nephews had steak Tatare as starters. Mains we had the most delicious rabbit in a mustard sauce with pancetta and veal chop in a blue cheese sauce, for dessert We had the delicious decadent crème caramel which was to die for, plenty of French crusty baguette and butter, We drank a bottle of champagne to start with and then had a very good Malbec and a bottle of Beaujolais. Then we had a bottle of Bourgogne Aligote white, and finished the meal off with coffees. The service was impeccable the atmosphere was extremely pleasant and relaxed couldn’t have wished for better meal shall be returning very soon, the only problem is its extremely difficult to find a table but understandable as the bistro is that good, Highly recommend.

🇫🇷 **Bouchon Racine – Quite Possibly the Best French Restaurant in London I've been fortunate enough to eat in a lot of restaurants over the years, and honestly, Bouchon Racine may be one of the very best. Tucked away upstairs above The Three Compasses pub in Farringdon, there's nothing flashy about it. You walk up a narrow staircase and arrive in a dining room that's refreshingly simple – no gimmicks, no theatrics, just great hospitality and exceptional French food. The menu is hand-written on a chalkboard in French, which immediately tells you what this place is all about: authentic, traditional French cooking done properly. For starters, I chose the pâté served with bread, followed by a peppered fillet steak. Both were genuinely among the best I've ever tasted. The steak was cooked to perfection and packed with flavour. An easy 10/10 My guest started with an anchovy salad that was light, fresh and beautifully balanced, followed by Dover sole for the main. Again, absolutely stunning. The wine list was spot on too carefully selected without being overwhelming – and the service struck that perfect balance between professional and relaxed. For three people, including food and wine, the bill came to **£468**. Was it cheap? No. Was it worth every penny? Absolutely. In a world of restaurants chasing trends and Instagram moments, Bouchon Racine focuses on something far more important: serving incredible food with confidence and simplicity. ⭐ Food: 10/10 ⭐ Service: 9/10 ⭐ Atmosphere: 9/10 ⭐ Value: 9/10 ⭐ Overall: 10/10 If you're a fan of proper French cooking, put this on your list. Go there, order well, enjoy the experience... and you can thank me later. #LondonFood #LondonRestaurants #FrenchCuisine #BouchonRacine #Farringdon #Foodie #RestaurantReview #LondonEats #FoodLover #HiddenGem #WorthTheHype #FineDining #LondonLife

Absolutely the best food I've had for years! We have been struggling to find a restaurant with good quality food and good value for money until we went here. If you're lucky enough to get a table, the reservations are usually booked far in advance, then this is the place you will be telling everyone about. The service, from start to finish, faultless. We met with friends in the pub downstairs and then went upstairs to our table when it was our reservation time. We were greeted with first class service and a huge welcome. The menu was brought over to us in a huge chalk board. The chef even came out. We felt so looked after and happy. The champagne was at perfect temperature, the wines paired perfectly and the food .. unbeatable.
