The bed was super comfortable—the best we slept in on our trip. Our room smelled a bit like stale smoke which was quite a turn-off considering smoking is prohibited on property. Otherwise we were quite happy. Breakfast was delicious and well stocked, however the breakfast hours are much shorter than most other hotels (7:30-9:16 I think). The staff was very friendly and attentive. We had to head to the airport at 6:30AM and miss breakfast so they offered to prepare us two snack bags to-go the night before and they were well stocked with water, juice, banana, apple, snack bar, cookies, etc. That was a nice touch. Excellent location with easy parking, only minutes from Fort William city center. There was no safe in the room which I would have appreciated. Overall, we would stay here again.

The location is excellent. The main room, which serves as both the restaurant and the breakfast area, offers a beautiful view of the loch. Our room was spacious, very clean, and equipped with everything we needed. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant, which was very good, and afterwards, we relaxed in the bar area just to the side. Highly recommended if you are passing through Fort William

The hotel has a beautiful lakeside location, the staff were friendly, and the beds were comfortable. The rooms are very outdated and really need some TLC, renovation and update. Also, our room at the back was very disappointing. It had virtually no natural light and overlooked mainly a stone wall, so we had to keep the lights on all day. The room felt dark and quite suffocating. If you stay here, I’d strongly recommend requesting a front-facing room to enjoy the views and natural light.

One of the best hotels in the area. Superb location on the edge of town by the lock side as you approach from the south. Spotless, under the caring direction of the owners. Disabled friendly. Food is good down to earth and locally supplied served in the dining room or bar with splendid loch views. Breakfast superb. Caring and helpful staff.
