About Muthu Fort William Hotel
Achintore Road runs along the edge of Fort William with Ben Nevis rising close by, and it's here that Muthu Fort William Hotel makes the most of its Highland surroundings. The town centre is under a mile away, while walking, cycling, fishing and watersports are all within easy reach for anyone keen to get out into the landscape.
Rooms are generously sized and come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks and the usual comforts, though some have been reported as a little tired and in need of better upkeep. The hotel runs a restaurant and bar on site, with breakfast and dinner both well regarded, and packed lunches can be arranged for days out on the hills. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, and practical extras such as 24 hour reception, luggage storage, a lift and meeting rooms make it workable for both holidaymakers and business stays.
Free on-site parking is provided, useful given the surrounding walking and cycling country, and nearby pubs and restaurants add further options once the day's exploring is done.

What guests say
We stayed for one night half board, 20th June. We were greeted and checked in by Rose Ann, who was very polite and friendly. We were in room 45 on the second floor. There was a lift, which was great as I can't do stairs. The room was spacious and along with the bathroom had everything we needed. Also there was a fantastic view from the window across Loch Linnhe, I could have looked at it for hours. I needed a rubber mat for the shower, so I went to reception and met Se Fhy (I hope the spelling is correct) and received the same excellent service that we had from Rose Ann. The rubber mat was delivered to our room about 2 minutes after I got back to it. After showers and changing we went down to the bar restuarant for our meal. It was an excellent, 3 course meal, with a great range of choices on the menu. There is an uplift to pay for two items on the menu, but we didn't need those options. It was or ordered via, and served to us, with their usual politeness and friendliness, by Rose Ann and Se Fhy. It was beautifully cooked and presented, and very nice. We'd had a long day so didn't stay up late. The bed was very comfortable, and we had a good night's sleep. We went down to breakfast at 8am where there was a good range of breakfast food available. We both had a continental style of breakfast, and it was fine. We would happily stay there again.

Myself and my now Husband came to Fort William with our family and closest friends to get married. We chose this hotel and it’s one of the best decisions we made. The staff are absolutely out standing! They welcomed us every single time we came down the stairs, were super friendly at the reception and at the bar. This is the second time we’ve stayed and it certainly won’t be the last! Amazing weekend

My stay at Muthu Fort William Hotel was absolutely unforgettable. What a hotel, and what a location! The views are simply breathtaking—easily one of the best places to stay in the area. I was lucky enough to get a room upgrade, which made the experience even more special. The room had incredible views, and waking up to that scenery was truly something else. The food was also outstanding—everything I tried was delicious and exceeded expectations. The highlight of my stay was definitely the snowfall. Experiencing fresh snow there made the whole place feel magical and added a completely different charm to the surroundings. A small tip for anyone visiting: there’s a nearby route leading to a viewpoint, and if you’re lucky enough to see it during snowy weather, it’s absolutely worth it—the view is stunning. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to enjoy beautiful scenery, great food, and a memorable stay.

Really nice and clean with great service and breakfast. Only down side is the rooms are not very sound proof so you can hear the TV and other sounds from next door. Mattress was a bit too firm for my liking but we had a fantastic night away and would come back.
