What visitors say
Nice gardens. The house was closed for the day. There had been guided tours earlier. Lots of pay and display car parks near. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Disappointing visit. Unfortunately we picked a day when the house was closed so unable to give a true reflection of what might be. We only got to see the gardens which at the rear of the property are a little overgrown. Would advise you call before making a special journey and book a guided tour which I sure will be informative.

Not great. Now no longer letting you in the house other than to do tours so we got there with ten mins to spare and still didn't make the cut as only 16 places. £12 for a pretty but small garden

Human scale NT Georgian property restored as a living museum. Guided tours only inside house (£3 extra even if NT member), which was interesting insight into Georgian and Wordsworth's early life. Pleasant garden backing onto the river.

Visitors say this historical house offers interesting insights into Wordsworth's childhood and Georgian life, with many displays and a beautiful garden. They also highlight the friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable staff, who provide excellent guided tours. Others mention the convenient parking nearby and the accessible ground floor via a lift.
