About Black Mountain Lodge

Black Mountain Lodge puts guests up in rooms spread across a collection of stone buildings, one of them dating back to the 17th century, set within their own grounds in Glasbury. Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and drinks provided, and family rooms are available for those travelling with children, so there's a proper sense of settling into a working country building rather than a standard hotel block.

Food is covered by an on-site restaurant and bar, with breakfast included and kids' meals, packed lunches and a snack bar also on offer for flexible timing. Outside there's a garden and picnic area for eating al fresco, plus outdoor seating, and the lodge runs a 24 hour reception with free on-site parking and free WiFi throughout. Meeting rooms are also available for those combining a stay with work.

The surrounding area suits walkers and anyone after the outdoors, with Bike Park Wales nearby giving cyclists a reason to base themselves here, and watersports, pubs, restaurants and entertainment all within reach locally. It's a good fit for guests who want a characterful base in Powys with facilities on hand rather than having to travel far for a meal or a drink.

Wonderful stay at Black Mountain View Lodge. The staff and service were excellent throughout, and the lodge instantly transports you to a classic Montana-style mountain retreat — warm, rustic, and full of character. Great location, very spacious rooms, and a wonderful breakfast each morning. Being family owned really shows in the care, quality, and attention to detail. Would happily stay again.

Stayed this weekend with family, couldn’t have asked for anymore. Beautiful surroundings, quiet relaxed atmosphere, warm welcome on arrival and beautifully clean rooms with excellent facilities. Breakfast was lovely, this was our 3rd time returning to the black mountain lodge, a hidden gem. Thank you so much once again.

We have booked again for February. This will be the second time we have visited. It is just down the road from haye on wye. This place is truly a beautiful place to visit. Would highly recommend visiting and if you do book yourself into the Black Mountain Logde, you won't be disappointed and the food and bar area is really good too with a good variety of drinks and a wide selection on the menu of delicious dishes and desserts.i would highly recommend
