Owls Roost
Powys
Hay-on-Wye draws visitors for its independent bookshops and riverside walks, and Owls Roost sits within easy reach of the town. The cottage itself is a converted hayloft, with architectural traces of its farming past—round windows and exposed beams—now part of its appeal. It's a detached property with private parking and a garden, sleeping six across three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The ground floor contains a king bedroom, a single bedroom with a pull-out single bed, and a family bathroom with both bath and shower. Upstairs, a four-poster super king bedroom has an ensuite shower room; a separate staircase leads to the main living space, a vaulted open-plan area with a woodburner, Freeview TV, record player, and access to the kitchen. The kitchen is equipped for cooking, with electric oven and hob, dishwasher and microwave. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen, towels and logs for the fire are included; one pet is welcome. The cottage does not permit smoking.
The garden has seating and a barbecue. A travel cot and highchair are available on request. Ground floor access and the family bathroom layout suit families with young children; the first-floor master suite appeals to couples or guests seeking more privacy.
