Windhover

Windhover is a converted detached cottage with everything needed for a self-contained stay. The ground floor holds an open-plan living and dining space with a 43-inch smart TV and DVD player, plus a kitchen fitted with electric oven, hob, microwave and fridge-freezer. Upstairs, a kingsize bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, while a twin bedroom comes with its own cubicle shower. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are all included, along with a welcome pack on arrival. There is parking for two cars on site and a bike store for exploring further afield.

The cottage sits five miles from Hay-on-Wye, known for its book festivals. Within walking distance are a pub and shop; the wider area offers access to Offa's Dyke, Mortimer's Trail, the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons, plus opportunities for golf, fishing, riding and cycling. Hereford, Leominster, Brecon and Builth Wells are all within reasonable driving distance. No smoking is permitted indoors.
