About Mercure Glasgow City Hotel
Ingram Street runs through Glasgow's Merchant City, lined with bars, restaurants and shops, and it's here that Mercure Glasgow City Hotel makes its home. The setting puts Buchanan Street's shopping and Glasgow Cathedral both within easy reach, with plenty more eating and drinking options dotted around the surrounding streets.
The hotel has 91 rooms across seven floors, each with an en-suite bathroom, and accessible rooms are available. Some rooms are on the smaller side and show their age, though housekeeping keeps them clean and tidy. A restaurant and bar operate on site, alongside room service, and breakfast draws particular praise for its wide choice of hot and continental options.
Beyond the rooms, facilities extend to meeting rooms and business services, making this as suited to work trips as leisure stays, plus a wedding venue setup for events. Staff on reception are consistently helpful, and laundry service and luggage storage are on hand for those passing through. On-site parking is available for a charge, useful given the central, adults-only setting.

I had a lovely stay at the Mercure Glasgow City! All of the staff were wonderful, the room was perfect, and the Scottish breakfast was delicious everyday. Abby and Brandon were very helpful on my last day. Abby pointed me to a shop to buy a football kit for my son, and I got just what I needed. She also gave me directions to the bus station, which was very helpful. I would absolutely stay here again!

I recently stayed at the Mercure Glasgow City Hotel and had a very pleasant experience. The location is excellent right in the city center, close to George Square and Merchant City, making it incredibly easy to walk to nearby restaurants, shops, and attractions. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had everything needed for a relaxing stay. What really stood out during my visit was the service, particularly from Rohan at the front desk. From the moment we arrived, Rohan welcomed us and took great care of us with outstanding professionalism and courtesy. He was incredibly attentive, kind, and available for anything we needed, always working with a genuine smile that makes a real difference. It is rare to receive such thoughtful attention, and he truly made us feel like valued guests. If you are looking for a comfortable, centrally located hotel in Glasgow with great customer service, I highly recommend this property. A big thank you to Rohan for making our stay so pleasant!
