About ibis Styles Glasgow Centre George Square
George Square sits at the centre of Glasgow's city life, and just off it on Miller Street stands ibis Styles Glasgow Centre George Square, a 101-room hotel built for exploring the city on foot. Its position puts transport links, restaurants and bars within easy walking distance, making it a practical base whether you're here for a short stay or longer.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and a playful Glasgow-themed decor that sets the hotel apart from more generic city centre options. Family rooms and accessible rooms are available, and the hotel spans nine floors with a lift for easy access. Some guests have noted the ventilation isn't always ideal, worth bearing in mind if you prefer plenty of fresh air.

Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, and the hotel is generally considered good value for the location. Parking is available nearby for a fee, and with pubs, restaurants and walking areas all close at hand, it's an easy spot to settle into for a Glasgow visit.
What guests say
I will start off by giving, what might sound like an extremely weird compliment. This was the best bathroom sink that I have ever experienced in all my travels across different continents, countries, and cities. The depth didn't result in a splash on myself either from the running tap or when I was doing my daily ablutions. The distance between self and the bowl was such that no puddles of water formed around the sink or on the bathroom floor. The sink and tap were well aligned so no finger yoga had to be done to ensure hands got wet and not the surrounding surface.I loved it! The room was soundproof, the bed comfortable and clean, the cafe on the first floor with round the clock hot and cold drinking water and a selection of teas and coffees was more than what I expected, and the breakfast was so varied and fresh that a picky eater like me was satisfied. They also gave a "wee" bag when I came in with an Irn Bru and a Tannocks marshmallow style chocolate. I wanted to try these two Scottish offerings but wasn't so sure of purchasing in case I dont like them. Thanks to this hotel, I tried both, didnt like them, saved money, and was able to make an informed choice. Another weird compliment but true. I stayed solo and felt completely safe. I travelled across Scotland for 10 days and stayed in a bunch of places. This was my favourite in terms of the comfort I got for the money I paid.

This is my second stay at this hotel, the staff are freindly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and decorated with a Glasgow theme. Limited evening meal options but the pizza is very tastey. Shower is ok a little low on the pressure but hot none the less, a good size shower cubicle, no bath. Bed is very comfortable and I have slept pretty well. The room has tea & coffee but only two tiny milk cartons, hot chocolate was really nice, but on the last night it wasn't replaced. Breakfast was excellent, plenty to choose from with hot (Ish) buffet and a good continental options. Parking is a bit of a pian as its NCP and comes at a hefty £18 a night, and about a 5 min walk away. Situated in the city centre oprions for dining out are vast. Overall a great stay, I would definitely stay here again!

Ideal central location. Guy on check-in efficient and helpful but could have been friendlier. Room quiet, with very comfortable bed. Some noise from plumbing but didn't affect sleep. Great decor in rooms with local theme. Rooms would benefit from a safe. Odd lift call system - only one call button for both up & down meaning lifts stop unnecessarily. Reasonable cold & hot selections for breakfast considering it is a hotel nearer the budget end of hotels than luxury. Would very happily stay here again.

A brilliant wee hotel in the centre of Glasgow - situated near a great selection of bars and restaurants, prime shopping streets, both Central and Queen Street train stations, plus Buchanan Street and St. Enoch subway stations. I stayed a few nights in a queen room (avg. £118 per night) which came fully equipped with air conditioning, tv, desk, full-length mirror, wardrobe, iron and a kettle with tea, coffee and hot chocolate. My bed was sooo comfy, they’re lucky I didn’t take the pillows home with me! Housekeeping do the rounds daily but if you refuse service (just leave your ‘do not disturb’ sign on the door) they’ll give you a voucher for a free drink at the bar, as an eco-friendly incentive. The bar is open 24 hours a day and seems like a nice spot to spend time. The hotel is fun and welcoming, with the decor really emphasising on the Weegie of it all. Plenty of nods to the humble Tunnock’s teacake, Gerry Cinnamon and the Duke of Wellington’s traffic cone bunnet. Perhaps it’s heavy handed but it’s all in the name of good, kitschy fun. All of the staff I met were friendly and happy to help, too. I can’t fault my stay here at all.
