About Victorian House Hotel
Broadgate sits at the heart of Grasmere, with the fells and lakes of the Lake District rising just beyond the village, and Victorian House Hotel occupies a spot on this well-placed street. It's a compact hotel with 13 rooms, including family options, each with an en-suite bathroom and drinks available in room. Free WiFi and room service are standard, and 24 hour reception means arrivals and requests are handled at any time.
Downstairs there's a bar and a garden with outdoor seating, useful for a quiet drink after a day on the fells, and breakfast is served on-site. Concierge and business services are available alongside laundry service, and free on-site parking is provided, a genuine convenience in a village that draws crowds in season. Pets are welcome, so dogs can join the trip.
Walking and cycling routes lead straight from the area, and fishing and watersports are within reach for those wanting the water rather than the fells. Pubs, restaurants and other eateries are all close by in the village, along with entertainment options, making Broadgate a practical base for exploring Grasmere and the wider Lake District on foot or by car.
Guests mention this hotel offers beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable rooms, along with a delicious and varied breakfast with many options. They also highlight the friendly, attentive, and helpful staff, who create a welcoming atmosphere. Visitors appreciate the convenient location and good value for money.
