Captain’s Rest

Built over two storeys in an elevated position, Captain's Rest is a duplex cottage overlooking Porthmadog Harbour. The ground floor holds a living room with a balcony offering estuary views, a kitchen with electric oven and gas hob, and the first bedroom—a double and single bed combination. Upstairs, the second bedroom contains two single beds and there is a bathroom with bath and shower. A washing machine is available. The cottage sleeps five and the whole place is yours alone.

Porthmadog is a working harbour town where you can walk down to the waterfront pubs and restaurants within a few minutes. The Welsh Highland Steam Railway runs from here for those interested in rail heritage. The coast sits just a mile away; Black Rock Sands offers extensive beach and dunes, while Portmeirion lies nearby with its distinctive architecture. Inland, Blaenau Ffestiniog provides mountain biking, zip wires and underground trampolines in old slate caverns. Harlech Castle is a short drive further along the coast. Essentials like electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered. One pet is welcome. The building has steep and narrow stairs between floors. Parking is on road outside.
