Tan Llan is a characterful townhouse spread across three storeys, with the kind of quirky layout that comes from centuries of use. You step up to the entrance and immediately encounter the original features—slate floors, exposed beams, differing floor levels—that make it feel properly lived-in rather than a blank slate. The ground floor holds a sitting room and dining room, each with a woodburner, plus a kitchen fitted with a gas hob, electric oven, air fryer and dishwasher for proper cooking. A utility room houses an extra washing machine and freezer.
Upstairs are two bedrooms with kingsize beds and a shower room, while the top floor contains a third bedroom (a single and a double) with PlayStation 4, plus a bathroom with bath and shower. The layout and low doorways on the upper floor mean it suits families with older children rather than very young ones, and those with mobility difficulties should note the uneven surfaces and stairs. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included; one dog can stay free.
Outside, an enclosed garden has seating, a barbecue and firepit. Dolgellau sits within Snowdonia National Park, and there's a pub within a mile. Parking is on the road.
