The Old Swan Hotel

Will be returning to this beautiful victorian style hotel . Spotlessly clean, great location helpful staff. We had a great a great sleep in the comfy bed. Loved the Bridgerton style music in the bar area . 2 days stay but wish it was more. 5 mins walk into a lovely town centre . We have booked breakfast i am sure it will be fine too. My husband will leave a review later to comment but I am sure it will be lovely. Had a bar snack when we arrived tasty mini scones with jam and cream delicious. Looking forward to our walk about town again today and visiting the old Turkish bath read the history. All in all 10/10

A magnificent Victorian hotel kept in pristine condition. Bedroom(single) really roomy with good sized comfortable bed and excellent large walk in shower all decorated and furnished to a very high standard as were the public rooms. Dinner was very well cooked within an imaginative menu. All staff pleasant and attentive. A pleasure to stay there. We will be back!!

Lovely old building in a convenient place for Harrogate amenities. Very clean and very comfortable beds. A nice room and bathroom. Only downside was a bath with shower over ( not good for most elderly ) a window which only opened so far. It was extremely hot even with a fan. The kettle was situated nicely on one side of the room, but plugs over the other side of the room. We had to ask for an extension lead to save juggling plugs. Very frustrating. We also had an aerial for the tv that appeared broken which had to be fixed. The breakfast and other meals we had were very good. The staff were friendly and very obliging. The comfortable lounge with bar was a pleasant place to sit and chat. All in all a very pleasant break. Is it worth the money, im not sure. Would we go back, again not so sure. If you do book a break there make sure you are not on a route march to your room and that you have a shower, not a bath if you are elderly.

Spent one night at this lovely old fashioned hotel. Room was quite basic although recently refurbished by the looks of the curtains. We needed the fan as it was quite warm. We actually had a good deal with dinner, bed and breakfast. Dining was pleasant in a lovely dining area. Staff were well versed in allergies and we felt confident in the gluten free awareness. We loved the range of communal rooms downstairs to relax in, One thing we were surprised at was the fact that all bedrooms are dog friendly. We like dogs but don’t want to stay in a hotel room that’s had dogs in it. Why don’t the hotel have dog designated rooms rather than allow in all rooms? We would love to return to Harrogate but wouldn’t stay in a dog friendly room. Surely customers should have the option?
