About Digeddi Wildlife Camping
Tucked into the Herefordshire countryside near Hay-on-Wye, Digeddi Wildlife Camping offers a genuinely off-grid retreat where campfires are encouraged and the focus is firmly on nature. Choose from non-electric grass pitches or upgrade to quirky glamping options including bell tents, a bow-top gypsy caravan, or a shepherd's hut. Facilities are simple but thoughtful – showers, toilets, and drinking water – though there's no chemical waste disposal or WiFi, so come prepared for a proper digital detox.
Dogs are welcome, making it popular with four-legged adventurers, and the family-friendly vibe suits relaxed weekends under the stars. The site's rustic charm won't appeal to those seeking modern conveniences, but if you're after a genuinely wild camping experience within easy reach of Hay's bookshops and the Wye Valley, this is a solid choice.

What visitors say
Superb Campsite, The owners were very friendly and chatty, very informative and very accommodating. Digeddi is a family run Campsite working alongside their farm, they work very hard to make your stay a pleasant one. We stayed in the Bow Top Gypsy Caravan and what a delightful little wagon she was, we enjoyed it every much, wish we had stayed longer. The Campsite offers hot showers and sinks, main toilets, and portaloos dotted about in several areas of the site, which was welcoming as it is very large area. All camping areas were freshly mowed, but other areas were left longer on purpose for the local wildlife, all in all it is a very pleasant and well maintained site. As an extra bonus you can also access the river at the bottom of the Campsite, maybe have a swim with the little fish, or just a paddle, but it is very stoney so be careful where you step.

Digeddi Wildlife Campsite A Hidden Gem for Nature & Water Lovers! I recently stayed at Digeddi Camping, a lovely small riverside farm campsite, and it was absolutely perfect! The location is stunning right by the river, making it ideal for paddleboarding and kayaking. Whether you're an experienced paddler or just want to relax by the water, this spot is a dream. The toilets and showers were very clean, and it was clear the facilities are well looked after. The lady who runs the campsite is incredibly friendly and helpful, which made the stay even more pleasant. One of the highlights was watching horses and goats nearby it really adds to the peaceful countryside feel. It’s a fantastic place if you want to enjoy nature, unwind, and have easy access to the river. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be back! 😊
