1 Dalbuaick Farm Cottage

This detached cottage on a working farm comes fully equipped for a self-catering stay. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave. There's a woodburner in both the living room and kitchen, oil central heating throughout, and Wi-Fi. Bed linen, towels and electricity are all included, so you arrive to a ready-made base.

Three bedrooms sleep six: ground floor has twin single beds and an upstairs pair of kingsize rooms. Two bathrooms serve the property—one with a bath and shower, one with a bath and separate cubicle shower. Beyond the main house, a games room contains table tennis and a dartboard. The garden is enclosed and lawned with patio seating. The hot tub fits six and overlooks open farmland. One dog stays free; dogs must be kept on leads as the farm has livestock. Parking is available for two cars, and there's bike storage. No smoking indoors.

The cottage sits about a mile from Carrbridge village and eleven miles from Aviemore, both within the Cairngorms National Park. The location works as either a base for exploring Speyside or simply for a break in the Highlands.
