Each of the 11 bedrooms at Muckrach has an ensuite bathroom—some with walk-in showers, others with both bath and shower—and nine of them feature super kingsize beds. Sleeping 22 guests across three floors, this is a place designed for large groups to spread out without crowding: there's a library with a woodburner, two living rooms with television, a conservatory, and a study, plus a kitchen equipped for cooking at scale with a breakfast area, two ovens, a dishwasher and all the essentials for catering to a crowd.
The house sits within acres of pastureland near Dulnain Bridge, with Grantown-on-Spey and Aviemore accessible for supplies or outings. You have a hot tub for four, a garden with patio and barbecue, bike storage, and parking for ten cars. One pet stays free. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included; wood for the burners is provided too. The property is yours alone when you book it—no shared spaces, no other guests—and the Cairngorms surround you for walking, skiing, or simply being outdoors.

We asked around town for a place where we could see the highland cows and they suggested we go here. We stopped by the side of the road and had an amazing time admiring these majestic creatures. I wish I knew of this place before and we could’ve stayed here. But nonetheless, we got to experience this for free and I would love to return the favor by leaving a review. I highly recommend this experience. ❤️🤎

My best overnight stop in Scotland ever. The hosts Andrea and Donnie were absolutely amazing and they went out of their way to make me feel at home. The rooms were 5 star and the breakfast was out of this world, freshly prepared and superbly presented.

Amazing! Beautiful! Fantastic!! Can't say enough great things about this place! Would recommend staying here to anyone wanting to get away to a stately, charming estate in the country surrounded by breathtaking scenery and Scottish Cows outside and delicious food and great company inside. Stay for a weekend (at least) at an historic manorhouse with the best breakfast in Scotland!

We had the most lovely welcome from Louise, Donny and Andrea. The Muckrach Country House Hotel feels more like a stay in a beautiful home than a hotel - the sitting rooms, library, bar and dining room are all so comfortable and beautifully decorated. We were made to feel relaxed and at home - there’s no rush here!
