I came here for 2 nights in my camper Van, Sandy and Bruce are super friendly and very helpful. The facilities consist of toilets (single cubicles and some with shower) which are superb, clean and tidy and they even keep the doors latched open when not in use to keep them fresh and aired. The site was quite quiet when we stayed and is sooooo peaceful and the views are amazing. There's a beach nearby which used to be a military firing range but is now very nice to walk on. There is also a roman fort and a castle nearby which is cool if you like a bit of history! We got electric hook up for our van which was £10 per night.I highly recommend staying here it's such a lovely place, We will certainly be coming back!!

Definitely my favourite campsite so far ! Really lovely and clean facilities. Great views and amazing atmosphere. Bruce was really accommodating and helpful with explaining and showing everything. He was also very kind with lending us a power cable for our van as ours was too short. Thank you for the lovely experience. 😊 100% will return.

We camped here for 1 night, Bruce and Rachel were absolutely lovely and couldn't do enough for us. There was an area for washing up ,washing and drying clothes also.A lovely touch of handmade items for the chilly evenings, games, books and handmade s'mores packs added to the welcoming feel for a small extra fee. . The use of an honesty box was a lovely touch also. We had a fire pit brought to us along with a large bucket of wood which made it so cosy and for a small fee. The whole site was kept clean , tidy and such a lovely feel about it. Thank you we would definitely visit again. Ben and Karla

What a beautiful, stunning, peaceful location. A fabulous campsite to take you away from it all. Amazing hosts in Sandy and Jim. So attentive with a genuine love for the lakes. A short distance from Scafell Pike. We will definitely be back. If I could give 1 stars I would!
