East Barn
Inverclyde
Inverclyde's coastline looks across the Firth of Clyde towards islands and peninsulas, with ferries departing for Dunoon and beyond. East Barn sits within a large private estate of woodland and manicured gardens, offering a quiet base for exploring this stretch of water and the towns and countryside around it. The barn conversion is a single open-plan space on the first floor, accessed by a few steps, with a sitting area and dining kitchen at one end and a separate bedroom.
The living space centres on a sofa bed and woodburner, with a television for quieter evenings. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob and microwave, plus a washing machine tucked in. One kingsize bedroom and a walk-in shower complete the layout. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are included, along with logs for the stove. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed. Two cars can park on site, and one well-behaved pet is welcome. Smoking is not permitted.
From here, the beach is five miles away. Ferries run to Argyll's more remote coastline; Loch Lomond and its national park lie an hour's drive north. Glasgow and Stirling are day-trip distance, as is Edinburgh further afield.
