Finlaystone West Barn

Finlaystone West Barn is a first-floor apartment within a private estate near Port Glasgow, set among 250 acres of woodland and 10 acres of formal gardens. The entire space is yours alone, reached by 10 steps to the entrance. Everything needed for self-catering is here: a kitchen with electric oven, hob and microwave; a living area with Freeview TV and woodburner (logs provided); a kingsize bedroom; and a walk-in shower room. Bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included, along with heating and parking for two cars. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed.

The grounds belong to Finlaystone Country Park, where you can walk through woodland and formal gardens without leaving the property. The coast is five miles away. From here, ferries run to Dunoon and the Cowal Peninsula, while Loch Lomond and the Trossachs are 20 miles south. Glasgow is easily reached for a day visiting galleries, restaurants and theatres; Stirling Castle and Edinburgh are also within reach. Smoking is not permitted.
