Langbank sits on the Clyde's south bank between Port Glasgow and Dumbarton, with views across the water to Dumbarton Rock and westward to Ben Lomond. Glencairn is a detached bungalow on ground level, accessible via three steps at the entrance. The main living space combines a sitting area with dining and kitchen zones, where you can cook proper meals using a gas hob, electric oven and full-sized appliances including a dishwasher. Two bedrooms sleep up to six: one has a double bed with an ensuite shower, the other a zip-and-link super kingsize that splits into singles on request. The main bathroom has a bath with overhead shower. Heating, hot water, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included, along with parking for two cars on site and an electric charging point for vehicles.

The nearby pub within walking distance is known for substantial portions, homemade pies and varied specials, with staff described as attentive even when busy. Langbank gives you quick access to multiple attractions: Glasgow is 19 miles away by train, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park about 20 miles inland, and ferries from the coast run to islands including Arran, Bute and Cumbrae. Ayrshire's coastline with its villages and coves lies southward, while walking, cycling, gardens and castles spread across the region. One dog stays free; smoking is not permitted inside.

What a delight. Asked a taxi driver for a good eatery and he recommended Glencairn. What excellent taste he had. We only had a couple of days in Dumbarton and enjoyed their food on both days. The service was excellent and the meals delicious. At 82 I can say in all my years I can't say I've eaten better food. Thankyou you 🌟

Truly the best food I’ve had in all of Scotland! The Homemade Steak Pie was phenomenal! The staff was so friendly and had great recommendations for food and desserts. The sticky toffee pudding was so good too! It was warm and gooey and so yummy. We found this place on ChatGPT and the portions sizes were great for hungry travelers. They brought out extra ice cream cones for the babies and entertain the kids so we could enjoy the meal. It was AMAZING! 💗

Ordered takeaway from Lomind eats. Missing chips and the ones we did get were cold. The "cheese" burger looked like it was microwaved and cheese nonexistent. The "cheesy" nachos were missing the cheese. Called the restaurant and the woman "couldn't help as there was no manager in" she was not the politest at all considering we got a microwave meal from a restaurant that normally gets good reviews. Got told to phone tomorrow around 11/12. Highly disappointed and had to get food from elsewhere.

Food tasted amazing, and we had to leave a large amount because the portions were so generous. Sharing starter for 2 could have easily fed 4. Could have not ordered a starter or any sides and would still have left completely stuffed. Wanted a desert but I just can't, think I would burst!
