About Premier Inn Dumbarton Loch Lomond
Premier Inn Dumbarton Loch Lomond suits travellers who want a reliable, no-frills base for exploring the area rather than a destination in itself. With free on-site parking and easy access to the A82, it works well for road trips, golf breaks or short stays before heading further into the Loch Lomond countryside.
The 114 rooms are spread across three floors, with lifts and accessible rooms available, and each comes with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. There's a restaurant and bar on site serving breakfast and dinner, plus 24 hour reception and luggage storage for early arrivals or late departures. Service is generally friendly, though it can be slow at busier times.
Nearby attractions include golf, fishing and horse riding, along with pubs and restaurants within easy reach for evenings out. Dumbarton Castle and Loch Lomond itself are both close by, making this a practical choice for anyone wanting comfortable, straightforward accommodation with the surrounding scenery as the main draw.
What guests say
We have stayed here a few times. We like the location and it's central to getting from home to Loch Lomond and further afield. We know premier inns are good for our family. We were sad that the restaurant next door had closed but liked the new smaller location inside the hotel. No going out in the rain to get breakfast. My son found a lone chicken nugget under the bed and he thought that was hilarious. So he and his pet nugget spent some time cracking jokes before we laid him to rest before we went home. The room was clean. I think it was just missed and we weren't mad. Who doesn't want a pet chicken nugget.

Great experience that I know comes from Premier Inn. Booked for DBB, Dinner was good but frozen veg was used in the kitchen. Not keen on that. Everything else was great. Slept very comfortably, breakfast in the morning was wowwww, lots of choice, topped up regularly and good attendance from staff. Noon checkout was really appreciated. Totally relaxed for my long drive home.

We got the furthest room from anywhere, on the top floor... Well done (white young male receptionist for being you) Room: cleaner than other Premier Inn rooms we've been in on this holiday including Premier Plus...I hope breakfast will be hot (because it hasn't been in the last 2 Premier Inns)

I am staying here for 2 nights. The room smelt damp, which directly impacts my sleeping quality. Luckily, today is my last night. I can’t wait to check out and get back to my own bed tomorrow night. It’s a poor experience, definitely not recommend to book in this hotel. However, I also need to highlight that the cleaner I met this morning is super helpful, she already tried her best to get rid of the smell for me while I was away in the daytime. By the way, the window can’t open and bathroom fan doesn’t work also.
