Loch Ness Clansman Hotel is a low-rise, purpose-built hotel at Brachla, right on the water's edge of Loch Ness in the Highlands. With 26 rooms, it has the feel of a solid, functional base for exploring the loch rather than a grand historic pile, and several rooms make the most of their setting with views straight out over the water.
Guests get a restaurant serving dishes such as sirloin steak and Gressingham duck breast, alongside vegan options, plus a bar, indoor swimming pool, spa and sauna, and free WiFi throughout. Rooms come with drinks provided, and the hotel has a lift, air conditioning, a garden and free on-site parking. Meeting rooms and wedding facilities are also available, and pets are welcome. It's worth noting that some parts of the building show their age and could do with more upkeep.
Inverness lies around 11 miles away by road, and Culloden Battlefield is within reach for those interested in local history. The location is well suited to boat tours and walks along Loch Ness, with staff on hand to help arrange them.

The location was absolutely stunning. Property is right next to Loch Ness, access from the road was perfect. Rooms had an amazing view & were comfortable. Breakfast was really good, with hot food and had vegan options. We were looking forward to having rooms in the main hotel building. We were given rooms in the adjacent building/ apartment. The breakfast room direct side door access was closed in the morning & the staff refused to open the door. We had to walk all the way from the basement & stairs to access the restaurant. This is difficult especially with elderly traveling with us.

For lodging this place is 5 stars, for food it is 3 stars. A little expensive on the food side for what you get (but so is everything else in the area). If you want better priced food drive to Inverness. It is right next to the dock for the Loch Ness Jacobite tour as well. So very convenient to stay at, and not far from Inverness.

We only dined here so I cannot comment on the accommodation. The restaurant had beautiful views over Loch Ness. I had the salmon fish cakes to start and the salmon main - beautifully presented and it was really delicious. Great wine choices and friendly service. Lovely experience.

We stayed at Loch Ness Clansman Hotel and really enjoyed the experience. The hotel sits facing Loch Ness, and the view is magnificent. Waking up to such a beautiful view of the loch made the stay feel very special. The highlight for us was definitely the dinner at the hotel restaurant. It is a must-visit. We had the sirloin steak and the Gressingham duck breast, and both were excellent. The steak was one of the best I have had on this trip, cooked very well and full of flavour. The duck was also very good, with soft, juicy meat and delicious skin. Overall, a lovely hotel with an amazing view and a fantastic restaurant. Highly recommended if you are visiting Loch Ness.
