You arrive at Kenmare Cottage to find a complete ground floor laid out for easy living: a spacious kitchen with a full range of appliances opens through patio doors to a garden with seating and a barbecue, while two separate reception rooms give you flexibility to spread out or gather together. Upstairs are three bedrooms—one with a kingsize bed, two with twin singles—and two bathrooms, one with a bath and shower, one with a shower cubicle. The cottage sleeps six and is yours alone. Parking for two cars is on site, and there's a bike store if you want to explore further afield.
Shanklin's seafront sits within easy walking distance, a traditional seaside town with a sandy beach, restaurants, pubs and amusement arcades. The coastal path heading towards Sandown stretches for two miles with quieter spots like the village of Lake on the way, home to a water sports centre. Inland, Big Mead offers open parkland with a duck pond and children's play area. The train station connects you to other parts of the island. One dog or cat can come with you. Electricity, heating, wifi, bed linen and towels are all included. No smoking in the property.
