So many improvements! Many of the issues have been addressed and the centre is feeling well taken care of. Mens changing room toilet is fresh, updated and clean. They have changed the water filter, cleaned the vents, cleaned up the leak and are adding new accessories and equipment for the gym. It's very nice to see a proactive gym. The gym is good. Love the big open area. The temperature is always right.

My 5 year old enjoys the waves and flume here. Like other public sector pools locally, it is run down but still a good pool for a family swim. On a recent visit, I was extremely impressed at the lifeguard team and how they responded to a (minor) incident. They quickly and calmly got everyone out of the pool while checking those involved were okay, before re-opening the pool just a few moments later. It was well communicated and clear, they remained calm and in control while polite. Made me feel really safe.

Expensive: £50 a month + a set-up fee, and this has risen consistently. Swimming pool cannot be accessed on weekends (they didn't tell me when I joined). Gym changing rooms are dirty. I've used them only twice because of that. Pool ones are a bit better. You need a £1 coin or a £1.40 token for lockers. Cardio equipment is ok. Free weights area is a bit small. Cleanliness is at best average. Easily becomes crowded, especially with lessons/classes taking up space (either in the pool for swimmers, but also on the gym floor at the upstairs space, where they blast very loud music)

Staff were exceptional, so kind and helpful, they all went above and beyond to make our visit as smooth, accessible and fun as possible. Going to a busy pool with a young person with autism and complex needs can be difficult, but this was the best swimming experience we've had anywhere!! Thank you all for being so welcoming, flexible, friendly and accommodating! Very much appreciated 🩵
