Mill Farm Caravan & Camp Site

Relaxing weekend at this superb site. Beautiful quiet setting with lovely sunsets and views to the reservoir. Walk around the fields. 3 fully service hard standing pitches, and two grass ptiches with EHU. Pristine toilets and showers. Great value site. Lovely swimming pool (£5 per person) and wellness studio (I joined a yoga class). The owners are very friendly, very flexible around arrival/leaving times and brought us freshly gathered eggs from their free range chickens. The site is a credit to the owers. We will definitely be back.

We have just spent a fabulous long weekend at Mill Farm and we couldn’t have asked for anything more from a location. We had a large fully serviced hard standing pitch adjacent to the sheep field, full of newly born lambs. The view to Cransley Reservoir is lovely and site is peaceful, quiet and home to an abundance of bird and wildlife. Kay and Neil are fabulous hosts, extremely welcoming and clearly love to interact with their guests to make their stay warm and friendly. The icing on the cake is the private swimming pool that can be hired by the hour, which was a big hit with our granddaughter. Access to the showers and toilet facilities 24hrs a day makes this a fantastic CL, if like us, you enjoy quiet rural sites. And if this wasn’t enough, fresh free range eggs on arrival were a welcomed gift. Highlight of the weekend was watching a lamb being born and for the twitchers out there, a Whitethroat. We will definitely be back.

Mill Farm CL – NN14 1PY We were looking for a CL close to home for a short break after Christmas and into the New Year, and Mill Farm immediately stood out. To make sure it suited us, we booked a long weekend in November — and it turned out to be exactly what we were hoping for. The three hard‑standing pitches each have their own tap and grey‑water waste point, and the electricity posts are fitted with solar‑powered LED lights that illuminate as you approach. We were made very welcome by the owners and even enjoyed fresh eggs from the on‑site chickens. The indoor swimming pool is an excellent facility, and we made full use of it. The site offers pleasant views across the valley and has a calm, peaceful atmosphere throughout. After enjoying our November stay, we returned for our Christmas/New Year break. Once again, we had a wonderful time and appreciated the owners’ kindness. There is a clearly signed walk around the perimeter of the site, giving us the chance to watch the resident sheep and visit the chickens. We were again invited to use the pool, which is very well maintained with excellent changing and shower facilities. We’ve already booked our third stay and would visit even more often if we didn’t already have plans for our caravan to be on a long‑term pitch for much of this year. We don’t normally spend time writing reviews, but this CL is the best we have stayed on in our 35 years of caravanning.

We just had a fabulous mermaid theme pool party for our daughter here. The children had lots of time in the pool and so many swimming floats and toys to play with. I did wonder before arriving if I should bring along extras toys and plan games, but there was no need as so much was provided. The kids were so happy the whole time. After swimming we could provide our own food and eat in the beautifully decorated mermaid theme room. We'll definitely book more parties here 🧜‍♀️.
