Walgrave is a village where the countryside still feels like itself—no ribbon development, no theme-park charm, just fields and farms and the kind of quietness that makes you notice birdsong. Jasmine Cottage sits among those ordinary streets, a period property with enough character to feel authentic without trying too hard. The Royal Oak is within a mile if you want an evening out.
Inside, the cottage spreads across two floors. Downstairs: a living room with a woodburner, separate dining room, and a kitchen set up for actual cooking (gas hob, oven, dishwasher, and the rest). There's also a second sitting room. Upstairs are three bedrooms—two with double beds, one three-quarter size—and two bathrooms, one ensuite to the main bedroom. The stairs are narrow, the doorways low in places, the ceilings slope where they should: it's a real house, not a developer's idea of one. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered; there's an initial load of wood for the burner too.
The back garden is split across levels with a patio, terrace and seating areas, enclosed so it's private. If you're bringing a dog, it stays free and you'll find extras provided. Parking is on-road and nearby. No smoking indoors. The village puts you within reach of walking and cycling through the broader countryside without needing to drive far.
