Vista Cottage

You arrive at Vista Cottage to find a traditional Norfolk cottage opening onto a spacious ground floor. The living room, centred on an original fireplace, looks out over the garden toward salt marsh and sea. A separate kitchen and dining space has everything needed for self-catering—electric cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer—while upstairs, accessed by the cottage's original winding staircase, three bedrooms sleep six: a king, two singles, and a bunk room. One bathroom serves the upper floor. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included, plus fuel for the fire.

The garden is substantial, with a summerhouse for guests' use and direct, unfenced access to the water's edge where the marshes meet Brancaster Staithe. Scolt Head Island Nature Reserve lies across the water, good for birdwatching from the cottage or garden. The White Horse at Brancaster Staithe is close by. One well-behaved dog stays free; parking for two cars is on site. No smoking. The winding staircase may be tricky for those with mobility difficulties.
