Oak House suits couples after a break with added luxury, or families wanting more than the usual holiday cottage setup. This Grade II Listed semi-detached property in the Knap Yard complex sleeps 4 across two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Downstairs has a living room with open fire and Smart TV, plus a kitchen/dining room fitted with an electric range cooker, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine. A utility room houses the washer/dryer. Upstairs, bedroom one has a zip-and-link super kingsize bed (can be split into twins if needed) with ensuite shower, and bedroom two a super kingsize. The main bathroom features a freestanding copper bath with heated towel rail. Everything from heating to bed linen to Wi-Fi is included, with initial logs provided for the fire.
The garden wraps around the property—front lawn, rear patio with furniture, and a wood-fired hot tub for four. There's a firepit and barbecue too, plus private parking for two cars with an electric vehicle charging point. Access is through a gated rear entrance. Hanover Park lies nearby for walks; Leeds city centre is close enough for an evening out. The cottage sits on the site's main estate, so it's set apart from everyday surroundings without being remote. Children can use a travel cot, highchair and stairgate if needed. Note that smoking is not permitted indoors.

Oak House, Park Lane Street – Highly Recommended ❤️☺️🦋 I absolutely love living at Oak House and would recommend it to everyone looking for a comfortable, safe, and beautiful place to live in Leeds. Before choosing this accommodation, I searched extensively and viewed many other student housing options. After comparing everything, Oak House was the one I finally selected—and I can honestly say it was the best decision. This is a completely genuine review, as I truly feel at home here. Oak House is also among the top 10 student-rated accommodations in Leeds on the Student Crowd website, where reviews are written by real students based on real experiences. After living here, I completely understand why it is rated so highly. In terms of location, it’s perfect. Oak House is very close to the University of Leeds, the city centre, and even has a Co-op just two minutes away, which makes daily life incredibly convenient. Safety is one of the strongest aspects of this place. The building is highly secure—you need a key to enter both the building and the flat, and privacy is fully respected. Fire safety is taken very seriously, which adds another layer of reassurance. The reception staff and management are amazing—special thanks to Taja, Ivy, and David, who are always kind, considerate, and genuinely helpful. And a special mention to Bailey, the adorable dog who visits often and brightens everyone’s day. There is always something happening at Oak House, so you never feel bored or isolated. Every month, there are community activities such as decorating gingerbread, bake-offs, movie nights, drawing sessions, and decorating the Christmas tree together. The reception area is beautifully decorated for every season—Halloween, Christmas, and more—which makes the space feel warm, festive, and alive. The common areas are fantastic. There’s a games room with plenty of board games and books to read, foosball table, a free coffee machine offering different coffees and tea, free water purifier offering chilled water and even a free colour printer. It’s the perfect place to relax, refresh your mind, and meet people. Also, a free gym and bike storage facility. The flats themselves are extremely well designed. The bed is a generous three-quarter size, much larger than what most student accommodations provide. The rooms have plenty of storage space and hooks to hang belongings, which is very practical. Each flat includes a washing machine, vacuum cleaner is provided, and the kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, microwave, refrigerator, air fryer, kettle, a hob with four heating panels, a chimney, dining space, sofas, a television, and even a dustbin—meaning you don’t need to buy any extra appliances. Maintenance is quick and reliable. Any appliance-related issues have been resolved within a day or two, and communication is smooth via email, with the team always being supportive and responsive. As an international student, I especially appreciated that there was no guarantor required, no advance payment, and the rent can be paid monthly, which is far more affordable and manageable than large installment-based payments. Overall, Oak House feels safe, welcoming, and truly like home. I genuinely love living here and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful student accommodation in Leeds. One of the best student accomodations in Leeds. Managed by Unipol and University of Leeds, it provides excellent customer service. Spacious rooms and lounge. One of the best coffee/hot chocolate machines. 😍 Friendly staff. Definitely recommend for students, especially international students.

This was a great choice. It is just on the outskirts of the busy city area, which is great if you like a quiet surrounding. It has accessibility to a vending machine. There is a free tea and coffee station. Occasional snack station downstairs. Any issues are usually resolved quickly. The rooms are quite nice too. I live in one of the smaller rooms but it doesn't feel like it. The space is quite convenient with modern fixtures in the bathroom. No "small shower hit your back against the door". The decor allows for great storage. Just a thoughtfully executed student space.
