What diners say
Visited for 1 quid coffee, iced latte was decent, quite strong for a change, which was good, exactly what I needed. On the bitter side too, so might not be for everybody. Quick service, staff is very committed and I can see they do their best to deliver. Great location too, plenty of space, they have lots of seats outside and on the first floor. Décor is welcoming and warm, not yet another minimalistic shop. Order some food, enjoy the weather, this location provides truly great city views. Edit: Came back for a salad, since founder has reached out and said I should give them another chance. I'd say it's very good meal, spicy for a salad, which is a good thing. Plenty of chicken, and that's not the case in many places now, which was soft and yummy, roast potatoes were great too. Good amount of crunchiness and variety of flavours for a dish like this. Not the best salad I've had recently but damn good one.

Delicious salads on a good day at Pick Your Own. Ever since I saw the soup salad I have been meaning to go but Fenchurch is a bit off the radar with not much to do nearby. Finally they opened in Liverpool Street so I went after the grand opening to avoid the freebie queues. I went several times before posting this and the quality and service has been very different. The first week, there's more in the textures scoop or maybe its the staff because the only day I got a tiny scoop was a different person. I could have asked why but couldn't be bothered. During the initial visits they even offer more sauce before you pay. Some of the staff are really nice and let you try which really helps you to decide. The ham hock and lamb toppings sound lush but they looked a bit dry so I skipped it. There are two salad sizes but the regular works out more flavourful due to ratio because you don't get more scoops of textures if you go large and if in my case I got that stingy guy again then I'm screwed. But overall salads were delicious on the initial visits. The only improvement would be more description/info on the sauces so it helps you to decide quicker ie basic ingredients, taste profiles eg sweet, tangy, spicy, minty etc. The chicken broth soup I had was also amazing. Strong in dill flavours and the miso barley reminds me of the American beef barley soup. The broccoli in the soup was pleasing and soft to my liking. Will return for the salads and juices in due time. To be honest, there are so many salad bars to choose from but I only go to this one because it just clicked with me from the menu layout/choice, options etc. They offer English comforts like apple celery slaw, sauerkraut, diced cucumber, olives, tikka tofu which is what I like to see and not harassa aubergines and caramelized sweet potatoes for example.

This is a really great place with delicious salad and is really quiet in the morning so a good place to do work. The breakfast menu is also nice and the photo shows the farmhouse bowl. It was pleasant but worth noting that the ham hock and the sausages were extremely salty.

Seasoned heavily with tap water and hope. Salads had no taste and the chicken was pasty and tasted of nothing. Portions were also tiny, you get a dollop of chicken paste for £4, on top of a £7-£8 base. So £13 total. The vibes and decor was nice, but mankind cannot subsist on vibes alone.
