About Knowsley Inn & Lounge
Eighty-six rooms across four floors make Knowsley Inn & Lounge a sizeable base on Ribblers Lane in Liverpool, well placed for anyone heading to Knowsley Safari Park or into the city centre. The rooms themselves are a strong point, with good-sized layouts, walk-in showers and comfortable beds, plus family rooms and accessible options for those who need them. Every room comes with an en-suite bathroom and air conditioning, and there's a lift serving all floors.
Downstairs there's a restaurant, a bar, a snack bar and outdoor seating, along with a breakfast service each morning, though some guests have found the breakfast selection on the limited side. A gym is available on-site, and meeting rooms make the hotel a workable choice for business stays as well as leisure ones. Kids' meals are catered for, and pets are welcome.
Staff are frequently noted for being friendly and genuinely helpful, which counts for a lot on a longer stay. Free on-site parking removes one of the usual hassles of a city visit, and a golf course, pubs, bars and restaurants are all nearby for evenings out beyond the hotel itself.
What guests say
Had a great night’s sleep. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. All of the staff were friendly, welcoming, and made us feel very welcome. A special mention to John, who was looking after the breakfast service. He was really pleasant, attentive, and made sure everything was kept well stocked throughout. The breakfast itself was plentiful, fresh, and regularly topped up. Overall, a fantastic stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Stayed at Knowsley Inn for 5 nights in February because it was convenient for visiting family in the UK. What a great experience! The staff was extremely kind, friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect, close to the highway exit but on a quiet side street. Plenty of parking and a lovely little village and pub nearby for dinner or drinks. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and everything was very clean. The staff was very helpful with directions, storing luggage and helping us get set up for breakfast. The breakfast buffet was well stocked, there was plenty of food choices and the dished freshly prepared. We may have been the only American guests during our stay and felt that the staff made an extra effort to make us feel at home in the hotel. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip!

We stayed at the Knowsley Inn and Lounge as a last minute booking due to a family member being airlifted to the Critical Care unit at Aintree Hospital. This hotel is in a perfect location for the hospital and allows dogs to stay. The rooms are very large, clean and modern. Good shower and comfortable beds with a decent sofa to sit on. Also, quiet at night which is great if you are a light sleeper like me. I read on another review a complaint about breakfast not being worth the money: 1. Book it the night before and save on the cost. 2. There is plenty of choice so I really can't understand the negative comment. I have coeliac disease so finding gluten free food can be a challenge. It is always a positive when the menu actually states GF or GFO available. I had no issues. We are returning to the Knowsley Inn and Lounge this week. The main reason being the hospitality and care shown to us given the awful circumstances for our visit. Liam and the team have been amazing. An absolute credit to the business.

Rooms are very good and a lot better than most hotels I have stayed in over the last couple of years in the UK. Having a walk-in shower rather than having to step into a bath was great. Rooms also larger than expected and more electrical sockets too as was working part of the time in the room so made it easier than expected. Food was also of a high standard and would definitely get the Thai Curry again if I stay. Staff were also very welcoming and courteous. My only down side to the whole experience was it cost £7.00 for a tin of Guiness, which I though was a bit excessive.
