About Radisson Blu Hotel Liverpool
Liverpool's business and shopping district around Old Hall Street is where you'll find the Radisson Blu Hotel Liverpool, a large nine-floor property well placed for exploring the city's waterfront and cultural attractions on foot. With 194 rooms, it's set up to handle everything from weekend breaks to conferences and weddings, with meeting rooms and business services alongside the usual comforts.
Rooms are a particular strength here, generally spacious with air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms, and a good number look out over the river or across the city skyline. Family rooms and accessible rooms are available, and each comes with room service and in-room drinks on request. That said, upkeep isn't always consistent, so it's worth not expecting every room to be in pristine condition. A restaurant and bar operate on site, breakfast is served each morning, and staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful.
There's no parking at the hotel itself, so those arriving by car should plan ahead. The surrounding area has plenty going on regardless, with pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby, plus a golf course within reach for those wanting to venture a little further afield.
What guests say
Well I stayed here with a group of colleagues - maybe 15 in all - and only 1 person's air conditioning worked. 2 people changed rooms but 1 of them still had issues with the aircon. The first night, after calling for assistance, a lovely chap came and set my aircon to 16°, telling me in 30 minutes it would cut off at 20° and that'll be fine. He also popped back with a desk fan. An hour later the temperature was the same (24.8°) so I turned it off and stuck with the desk fan. The next evening I asked reception for some more bottles of water and they were provided without hesitation. I was also given a drinks voucher for the bar to make my stay more enjoyable, which was totally unexpected but very welcomed. My room (907) was lovely (great view of the mouth of the Mersey), but others commented their rooms were a bit shabby and in need of refurbishment. Food wise I only had breakfast which was plentiful and varied. I would stay here again but would check the aircon before settling into my room!

Very disappointing stay. The AC was broken, and they moved me three times to different rooms. None matched the room I originally booked—I booked one bed but was given twin beds. The bathroom made constant noise, and the hotel is old and very noisy. They even gave me a fan instead of fixing the problem. The staff and the manager were not helpful, and I wasted valuable study time because of all this. I honestly don’t know how this hotel is rated 4 stars. No compensation was offered. I would not recommend staying here.

Staff were fantastic. We had a few hi jumps to start with but it was resolved efficiently. I believe they are renovating the place. The beds were outdated memory foam you had to climb out of and also too low with not very nice pillows. Not up to the standard of the other Radison hotels we have stayed in. There was only one chair in the room. There was ample tea coffee and the bathroom was really nice. I think once it is renovated with new beds etc it will be really nice. Ponce again, the staff are amazing and try to ensure you have a good stay. I would return.

We were 'upgraded' to a river view room on the 9th floor. The air-conditioning wasn't working. We reported it next morning, requested fans for the room if it couldn't be fixed. Nothing done, it was no less than 27C overnight, very hot and sticky. The next morning, we reported the problem again and were assured that something would be done. It wasn't, nor were any fans made available to us. When we arrived back from a day out, the room was unbearably hot with no option to open a window. The upgrade to river view was useless as we had to keep the curtains closed in an attempt to keep the room cool. My husband went to reception and again reported the problem, the receptionist came to the room and confirmed there was a problem with the air-conditioning. Again we requested fans and were told they would be delivered to our room, they weren't. We were given the email address for the customer experience manager, I emailed him after we had checked out (he was allegedly on holiday). After two weeks with no response whatsoever, I emailed him again and also emailed Head Office who contacted the hotel for a response. Two weeks later with, still, no response, I emailed Head Office again who replied to the effect that THEY hadn't heard back from the hotel and would again email requesting a response. So, five weeks down the line, I am still to receive the courtesy of a response from the hotel. We have stayed at Radisson Blu hotels across Europe several times and have never had this type of problem before. Any issues raised were dealt with immediately and resolved. We are members of Radisson Rewards. If this is how they treat 'valued customers', I'd hate to see how they treat others. It is worth noting that, although the rooms have been refurbished, the dining room of the supposed 4star hotel is very run down. I would not recommend staying here until the issues are resolved.
