Meh Met

The atmosphere here is really quite charming! ✨ I enjoyed the vibe, but the service was just okay. The food seemed a bit pricey for what it was, especially since I felt the need to eat more when I got home. 😅 London dining can be expensive! 💸

We visited this restaurant with high expectations, and the food certainly lived up to them. We enjoyed the beef carpaccio, burrata with pumpkin, a beautifully presented cheese and charcuterie board, and perfectly crispy croquettes. Every dish was flavorful, well-balanced, and prepared with great attention to detail. The quality of the ingredients and the presentation made for a truly enjoyable dining experience. Unfortunately, what should have been a wonderful evening was overshadowed by the service. The waitress who attended our table was noticeably unfriendly and unwilling to help, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere throughout our visit. While the cuisine was excellent, the lack of professionalism and warmth in the service significantly diminished the overall experience. The kitchen deserves high praise, but hospitality is just as important as great food. We hope the service improves, as the restaurant has the potential to offer a truly exceptional experience.

I visited for lunch on a Thursday. Although it was quiet when I arrived it seemed that all the indoor tables had been reserved. I hadn’t reserved so was seated at the bar. I tried the ox cheek croquettes and the lobster tortellini, followed by the chocolate and cherry pot. I thought it might have been a lot of food, but the pasta did come as a small portion (4 pieces of tortellini) so overall the quantity was just right. The food was solid, and I enjoyed all 3 items similarly. Service was very friendly initially when they were quiet but then became slower towards the end of my meal, for example I was not offered dessert until I asked for a menu around 10 minutes after my empty plates had been cleared away. Paying the bill also took a while. The bill for my solo lunch came to £37, without any drinks. Overall an enjoyable lunch, the food showed some promise even if service was a bit patchy. Another one to add to the list around Borough Market, just when I thought I’d tried them all!

The cocktail made by the bar tender Jack was genuinely a life altering experience Me and my extended family had so much fun after my sister got stood up at her wedding. But it's okay because the service was wonderful and lifted all of our spirits and made our life a tiny bit happier. That was fun.... Anyway, bartender Jacob is lovely and deserves a raise??????
