What a fun little bar in the heart of Borough market! Everything is carefully curated to match their 1940s theme, with every detail in the bar having a story & adding a cool touch to the overall vibe. The cocktails are great, cheers bartender🥂 We tried a few and they were all on point and we loved the different themes and glassware they use to bring these to life. The staff is great, chill, matching the attitude of the 1940s and always helpful. The minute you enter you are transported to that time with a bit of roleplay from the hostess which is so fun along with many other features inside such as a cocktails delivered via their air powered ceiling tube!! I highly recommend visiting, especially for those who appreciate that era and all its quirkiness!

🥥 Elizabeth Tastes just like a piña colada, with vodka and rum as the base. Coconut notes shine through strongly, though the alcohol kick is quite noticeable. Named after the Queen, served in a beautifully shaped glass designed to look like Her Majesty. 🍒 Winston Churchill Reminds me of Davidoff cigars — rich, deep and full-bodied in character. But this gin-based cocktail is packed with bold berry flavours, and surprisingly light on the alcohol. 🍵 Met Your Matcha 👍 Looks like something straight out of a witch’s potion! Made with gin and liqueur, it drinks like a matcha-infused lemonade — smooth, bright and full of that distinct green tea flavour. 🥒 Farewell To The City Served in a vintage telephone booth — such a clever, quirky touch! Made with vodka, it’s basically an alcoholic version of fresh fruit and vegetable juice, with clear notes of cucumber and apple coming through. Small Plates 🦐 Sesame Prawn Toast Has that classic Hong Kong style — exactly the kind of comforting, tasty bite that hits just right for anyone familiar with Cantonese flavours. 🐑 Shawarma Spiced Lamb & Beef Koftas A very Western-style preparation. They’re nicely seasoned but quite dry, making them the perfect partner for a drink. 🍠 Sweet Potato Croquette Served in a style that leans into Mexican-inspired flavours. Crispy on the outside, soft and creamy inside — pure comfort in every bite.

My friend took me here tonight as a surprise for my 30th birthday. The atmosphere and 1940s theme from the minute you walk through the door was amazing! All the staff were great, Anna in particular is amazing! She welcomed us and everyone else in really well with a “welcome to the 1940s” and nothing was too much for her! She even pointed out a few of the little hidden decorations, and she told us about events and things they have on. I’ll definitely be going back for the great cocktails and great vibes!!
