Humble Crumble Borough Market

Big fan of Humble Crumble. The perfect place to have an elevated classic of a crumble. I was here for the first time in Oktober 2024, we had 'The Classic' (apple+cinnamon & shortbread crumble) with hot vanilla custard and one classic with blowtorched marshmallows topping. Both were incredibly good and we ate them up in minutes. We still talk about how good Humble Crumble is since then. So when I had a recent holiday planned for Bristol, in which I would have a 4hour stop in London, I knew I had to go and try Humble Crumble again. This time I took the apple crumble with the salted caramel topping and o m g it was even better than the vanilla custard! (which I wouldn't have known to be possible). Love it!

Special mention for Joseph, Beth and Keira! I was in London for a 5-hour trip, it was absolutely delicious and creamy!! I was craving for this crumble for a long time now, worth it!! I ordered special crumble: crème brûlée one with rose as topping (I think it was written under another name) and I ordered another one with hazelnut for my best friend. Highly recommend. Delicious. Worth the hype and the wait! We went with the specials: trifle and crumbrulee with strawberry rhubarb. I love that neither were too sweet and they were so delicious and custardy. As a typical American, I thought, "Let's go with the large for just £1.50 more." The large is definitely large. Our family of four couldn't finish two larges but they were decadent and delicious and a perfect pick-me-up for the mid-afternoon.

Every single time I travel to London, Humble Crumble is a must for me. We don’t have anything like this in Canada, and honestly it’s the best apple pie and custard I’ve ever had in my life. Warm, comforting, perfectly sweet, and just unforgettable. I crave it every time I leave London. If you ever visit, you absolutely have to try it!
