What diners say
Living nearby, I avoided this spot for a while due to unconvincing reviews, but the nice outdoor terrace finally drew us in. Long story short: Great atmosphere, good service, but average food. The vibe absolutely matches expectations, but there are far better culinary options just steps away in Borough Market. It’s a perfect venue for a sunny day catch-up with friends, but if you're purely chasing a great meal, I'd look elsewhere. I probably won't be back.

Enjoyed a really nice lunch here with friends on Saturday! We shared bread, charcuterie and cheese for starters. I then had the pork paella and finished the meal with a lovely set custard dessert and espresso martini! Shared a nice bottle of wine over lunch too!

Went in with high expectations but sadly left disappointed. The wait for the food was extremely long, only to then have to cook it myself at the table. For the price paid, I expected much better quality ingredients and a more enjoyable overall experience. To make matters worse, we left smelling heavily of smoke and meat fat, with the smell lingering on our clothes long afterwards. I was also surprised to be charged for tap water. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t justify the cost, and I won’t be returning.

After days of classic pub food – fish & chips, burgers, steak pies – we found ourselves at Borough Yards, unsure of where to eat. The kids were tired and just wanted to sit, and as we waited opposite the restaurant, I decided to take the lead and walk us into Parrillan. It turned out to be a brilliant choice. The Spanish dishes were a refreshing change from our steady diet of British comfort food. Fresh, vibrant, and full of flavour, every plate reminded us how much we’d missed Mediterranean cooking. The atmosphere was lively but relaxed, and the staff welcoming – exactly what we needed after a rainy day. Sometimes the best decisions come from instinct. Parrillan Borough Yards gave us the perfect break in our food journey and showed us a different side of London dining. A great spot to recharge, for adults and kids alike.

Diners like this Spanish restaurant's delicious food, especially the grilled brill, scallops, and Iberico pork, with many enjoying the unique experience of grilling their own food. They also highlight the lovely atmosphere and the attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable staff who provide excellent recommendations.
