What diners say
We found this place by accident after a visit to the Royal Oak. And what a find - this is the real deal, authentic, delicious Indian food. I'm vegetarian and there were so many great options. We talked to the owner and it was obvious his passion and knowledge is what makes this place special. For instance, I mentioned that the mushrooms in the salad were really good and he explained they have been marinated before being sauted - wow, that attention to detail is pretty impressive. If you're a bit tired of the generic Indian food offering of many London restaurants and looking for a creative but affordable menu, you should try Simply Indian. They don't sell alcohol but you can bring your own and the great thing is, they have an arrangement with the Royal Oak so if, like me, you love real ale you can combine excellent beer with excellent food - heaven!!

We came for dinner without booking, we were quite a fair number of people, had the best evening. The meals were amazingly tasteful and delicious and the host made sure we had everything we needed, including we brought our own booze,. He did it all by himself self which I don’t even imagine how it is possible. We were at least 14 in the dining room and we didn’t even wait for long. Thanks so much for having us yesterday!

We went here in the late evening after looking for food for halt an hour or more. After a little amount of time we got served very tasty authentic indian food with rice and homemade naan. The two types of Curry we got were very good and well seasoned. We also got a bottle of cold water due to the spicy food even before we could ask for it. All in all our experience was highly positive.
