What visitors say
We had a great time at MathsWorld. Our daughter especially loved the interactive chess table that continuously calculated each player’s probability of winning as the game progressed. It was a brilliant way of making maths and computer science feel tangible. There are lots of hands-on exhibits demonstrating mathematical concepts. I’m not sure how much of the underlying theory our daughter absorbed, but she was engaged throughout, which is probably the most important thing. There were also several fascinating exhibits on cryptography, ciphers, and codebreaking that we as parents found particularly interesting. It’s one of those places where children can explore through play while adults end up learning plenty too. Well worth a visit if you’re looking for something a bit different in London.

My kid enjoyed interacting with all the different installations at the maths world, from the properties of shapes, speed, rotating gears, making 3d shapes from different 2d and 3d parts ,learning different types of cipher and encryption , the giant bubble making installation which engulfs you, the Canterbury arch , the tool which will give you squareroot just by rolling a metal ball and so much more. Its a fun visit where you can spend 2 hours or more

Oh my god, this place is amazing! Took my 5 year old for the day in the Easter holiday and she loved it. We spent the whole day there and there were still several things we didn't get a chance to do by the end. Lots suitable for her age, but also plenty of things more advanced, so we'll be back again. Such a wonderful variety of exhibits, and all very hands on and exploratory. She was genuinely upset when I said we couldn't go back the next day. Despite being busy in the middle of the day there was always something free for her to play with. No café or eating area on site, but they let you nip out for lunch and return (cafés nearby, we brought a packed lunch)

Spent three hours here with my 11 year old. Totally interactive. She was busy the whole time. Didn't say she was bored or hungry which means it was a hit! It's over two floors but everywhere is visible making it very easy to manage. Only downside is no cafe - needed a coffee! My friend was able to pop out to a nearby coffee place to pick one up for us! Other good thing was that when I booked tickets online, I got free annual passes!
