About Hilton London Bankside
Hilton London Bankside suits visitors after a comfortable, well-equipped base for exploring the city rather than a quirky boutique stay - think couples on a city break, business travellers with meetings to fit in, or families wanting a bit of extra room. With 292 rooms, all en-suite and air-conditioned, plus family rooms and accessible options, it's built to handle a wide range of guests without fuss.
Facilities run well beyond the basics: an indoor swimming pool, gym and spa/sauna give guests something to do without leaving the building, while the on-site restaurant and bar cover meals and drinks in a smart, modern setting. Room service, laundry, concierge and luggage storage are all available, and there's meeting space and business services for anyone mixing work with the trip. Breakfast and kids' meals are on offer too, and free WiFi runs throughout.
The location in Southwark puts guests within reach of Borough Market, the Tate Modern and the riverside walks along the Thames, with plenty of pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby and good central transport links for reaching the rest of London. Parking is chargeable and located nearby rather than on-site, worth factoring in for anyone driving down.
What guests say
We've now stayed here several times, and it consistently delivers — particularly for longer visits. The rooms are spacious, quiet, and well designed, and among the Hilton properties we've tried in London, this is by far the most comfortable and generous in scale. If you have access to the Executive Lounge, it's a reliable, calm space with dinners included — well worth it. Great for families too. We were fortunate enough to visit the vegan suite, which is a genuinely forward-thinking touch. The staff are warm and friendly throughout. Special mention to Ali at breakfast, who has made every morning genuinely enjoyable across multiple stays. A few honest notes: the food is good but the menu could be more varied. Check-in can feel a little stretched when it gets busy. The TV channels occasionally freeze and the light switches are their own puzzle. The gym is functional rather than exceptional. None of this detracted much from the stay. The construction was inaudible from the rooms, and the location — a short walk from Blackfriars with some off-the-beaten-path local sights — is a real draw. Recommended, especially if you're staying for several nights.

We just stayed a week and enjoyed every minute of our trip. The room and bathroom were spotless and just enough room to make your stay comfortable. We liked all the room amenities and the pool is a great feature when travelling with little ones. You wouldn't think they had energy after a day of sightseeing but they did. The staff were always friendly and attentive. The location is away from the hustle and bustle but you're a 10 minute walk to Blackfriars subway stop which takes you everywhere you need to be. The neighbourhood felt safe, lots of families around - 10 minute walk to Borough Market. I honestly can't say we had any negative feedback on our stay.

We had a great stay here! We had two connecting rooms to share with our kids, and everyone had plenty of space. The rooms felt large for London and were well-equipped with coffee/tea-making machines and a mini fridge. We were fortunate to have breakfast included with our stay, and it is an excellent value. The people working in the restaurant are so friendly and accommodating, and there are plenty of options for all dietary needs. The pool was also a highlight for the kids, as it is quite large and a comfortable temperature. We found this location to be ideal, it's in a quieter part of town but close to stops on both the Jubilee and Circle/District/Thameslink lines, so it was easy to get anywhere on the Tube. The kids have already decided we are coming back to this hotel!

I stayed at Hilton London Bankside in May 2026 when working at the nearby Royal Festival Hall. The location is perfect, just moments from Blackfriars Station. I arrived at the hotel to check-in at around 11am in the morning which of course was far too early, but staff gave me a warm welcome and took my bag so I could get on with my day. I returned to the hotel around 9pm in the evening to find my room had been upgraded which was lovely, and the rooms are fantastic too - recently refurbished and super clean. The beds are luxurious and I had a wonderful nights sleep. I loved the reusable water bottle supplied in the room and the complimentary drinks - it was much appreciated. I enjoyed a late dinner in the bar after a long day and service was fantastic, food delicious too. Breakfast the following morning had one of the most expansive selections I've ever seen in a hotel. I'd love to return here again soon, I wish I'd had more free time during my last stay to enjoy all of the facilities the hotel had to offer - but I'll definitely back.
