About The Hoxton Southwark
Step into a room at The Hoxton Southwark and you'll find air conditioning, an en-suite bathroom and a design-led feel that runs through all 194 rooms, with certain categories offering roomier bathrooms and views out over the city. Free WiFi, room service and in-room drinks are standard, and family and accessible rooms are available for those who need them, with a lift serving all floors.
Downstairs and up on the roof, the food and drink side of things holds its own, with a restaurant and bar on the ground floor and another set up top serving cocktails alongside a proper menu. Breakfast is served on site, and practical extras such as luggage storage, laundry service, business services and meeting rooms make it as workable for a short business trip as for a weekend away. Pets are welcome too.
The address on Blackfriars Road puts guests within reach of Southwark's restaurants, pubs and bars, with plenty more eating and entertainment options nearby and good transport links for exploring further afield. Staff are consistently noted for being helpful and for going out of their way with small touches, from upgrades to general good humour at the desk.

When you don't want to stay in the center of London this is the spot to stay. Southwark is a calmer but still happening area. I really enjoyed the room as well as the lobby lounge area. The breakfast at Seabird (rooftop restaurant) was great! You'll also have a nice comfortable bed to sleep on here. I personally like the location mainly because you're close but not too close to the city center. Borough Market is a short bike ride away as well.

I travel to London frequently and have stayed at many different hotels over the years. My most recent visit was during the summer heatwave, and I stayed at The Hoxton, Southwark for five nights. The hotel had a great atmosphere, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. One of the biggest highlights was the reliable air conditioning, a real bonus during such hot weather! I also appreciated that the shower was properly enclosed with a curb, so the water stayed contained instead of spilling onto the bathroom floor. The bed was comfortable, which made relaxing after a long day of exploring London even better. The location was excellent, with a short walk to the tube, Blackfriars Bridge, the Millennium Mile, and the River Thames. It was a convenient base for exploring the city while still having a comfortable place to return to at the end of the day. I would happily stay at The Hoxton, Southwark again on my next visit to London and would definitely recommend it to others.

Had a wonderful evening at The Hoxton yesterday. We started with cocktails at Albie before heading up to Seabird for a sunset dinner. Our hostess Abbie was exceptional, going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and looked after. She even noticed that we weren’t quite settled at our first table and quickly moved us to a new one. Her warmth and attentiveness set the tone for a great night. The food at Seabird was also excellent. Beautifully prepared seafood (the octopus and squid were the highlights for me!), lovely atmosphere and views of the city. Will definitely be back. Thank you Abbie!!

Dreadful experience - really appalling service and care. I was due to stay here for a week, but after two days had to rush home as my husband went into A&E and had to have emergency surgery. I paid for the 24 hours notice but thought there would be no question that they would understand and refund me after that. They asked for medical evidence - when he was still in hospital and so I then had to show my private messages with my husband scared in hospital, about to go into surgery. It was all shocking but I went through it, if they needed proof to not charge me for a room I obviously couldn’t use. They had to accept he was of course in hospital but still wouldn’t refund me. I left in tears. Awful. They are a massive hotel group, what a way to treat a guest going through an emergency. Are they that desperate for money? Short term policy as I will not recommend this group to anyone. There are many fabulous, caring hotels in London. Avoid this one. The customer care is non-existent.
