About Angel Townhouse

Angel Townhouse suits couples and adult travellers after a comfortable, design-led base in Islington rather than a family stopover. As an adults-only hotel on Prebend Street, it caters to those wanting a quieter stay with easy reach of central London's attractions and transport links.

Rooms are generously sized and finished with an eye for style, with en-suite bathrooms, drinks available in room, and free WiFi throughout. Some rooms go further with their own hot tub, a nice touch for a short break or celebration. Reception runs around the clock, and staff are on hand whenever needed.

Outside the door, Islington offers plenty to fill an evening, with pubs, bars, restaurants and other eateries close by, plus entertainment and a golf course nearby for those wanting to venture further. It's a well-placed spot for exploring the capital while retreating to something calmer at the end of the day.

One star overall due to poor customer service making the stay a let down and stressful. The room itself is nice enough- trying to do luxury on a budget vibe. I booked through booking.com where I purchased breakfast included. I received a message from the owner/manager on the morning of the booking saying breakfast was not included. I replied straight away at 9am saying that my booking includes breakfast and sent the confirmation from booking.com. By 5.30pm I still had not had a reply, so I had to send a second message asking for the details for breakfast. I finally got a reply at 5.45pm after waiting all day, saying that breakfast was not included and that it was a error on booking.com. I replied straight away saying, in summary, that they should raise the issue with booking.com themselves, and as stated in consumer rights act 2015, I should get the service as described. I never got a reply, but breakfast did turn up in the end. Breakfast is delivered to the room. We had full english, which is probably the worst full English I’ve ever had, but at least we got it! Honestly cannot believe the lack of communication; appalling customer service. Left me feeling stressed on a night away that was a birthday treat, and struggled to enjoy the concert we were attending as I was worried about breakfast. Maybe there was an error on booking.com, but to try and get the customer to compensate for this error and not provide the service as described is wild! Poor business sense!!

Very weird place. You just get a code to get in and there is no one to greet you. The ‘sports bar’ downstairs was shuttered despite there being a World Cup on at the moment… Didn’t feel safe so I went and paid extra to spend the night at the Premier Inn instead.

Stayed one night. Room was very spacious and having a hot tub in the room is a nice plus even if I didn't have a the chance to use it. The room is located in a nice area and is close to everything you would need when staying in London. Unfurtunatly the bed was very soft and a bit creaky and the shower had an issue where it was way too hot even though I turned the temperature knob all the way to the coldest. Also I was a bit concerned security was as all the rooms as well as the main door to the building are secured by combination locks and I have no idea how often the codes change if at all.
