About Argyle Square Hotel

Argyle Square Hotel doesn't run its own restaurant, but there's no shortage of options close by, with a pub, bar and several restaurants and eateries all within easy reach for breakfast, dinner or a quiet drink. It's a practical set-up for guests who prefer to explore the local food scene rather than eat in.

Rooms are en-suite and kept clean and functional, with free WiFi and drinks available in room. Family rooms are also on offer for those travelling in a group. Showers are a strong point throughout, though rooms do run on the smaller side and sound insulation between them can be patchy, so light sleepers should be prepared.

The hotel sits on Argyle Square in central London, with good access to public transport making it straightforward to reach the city's main attractions. Entertainment venues are also nearby, adding to the convenience for anyone wanting to fill an evening after a day of sightseeing.

The hotel has a great location. Being a 5 minute walk from Kings Cross is a luxury. The hotel itself was good aswell. We got a double bed room and it was perfect for us. If youre okay with a small room and a small private bathroom this is perfect for you. Don't expect big luxury, but its all you need. The staff was very nice and very helpful. The only thing I would say, is that is was rather dusty underneath the bed (so if you put your bag underneath it it kind of get covered in it), and the bed covers could get changed more often (only once in 9 nights and it got changed on day 2). If you want an affordable stay and dont want big luxury and lose a fortune, this is the hotel for you

2 stars - 1 star for the location and 1 star for the staff who were extremely pleasant. However I was disappointed with the accommodations, especially for the price I paid. I felt like I was in a cheap budget hostel or university dorm room. The room was small, and unfortunately not well maintained. The walls had a layer of grime and various scuff and dent marks on them, and one of the bathroom ceiling lights had a paper towel stuffed in the empty light socket. While the bed was comfortable, and the sheets were freshly laundered, the sheets had several small stains and what looked to be burn marks on them. The bathroom was tiny, I had to awkwardly sit sideways on the toilet because the sink was in the way, and I could barely fit into the shower. I left with bruises on my arms from banging up against the shower door. A persistent damp smell permeates the foyer and hallways from the laundry facilities downstairs. The walls are thin, I could hear every toilet flush from upstairs and also all conversations happening in the hallway outside my room, along with all the noise from the construction in the morning happening several blocks away. It was a roll of the dice booking this place, unfortunately I won't be back. Truly, this place could do with a full gut renovation and a more caring owner.

i had a decent experience here. i only needed one night and the location was fantastic for Euston station, St Pancras and King’s Cross. the staff at the reception desk were helpful and friendly enough. my room was fine, cleaned well enough and there was complimentary bottles of water and a kettle. good water pressure in the shower. the only thing i would mention is the bedding did smell a little of damp but it wasn’t dreadful and i could deal with it. i felt very safe during my stay. i found the price quite acceptable for what i needed. oh and the tv was great! connected to netflix easily and the wifi was good. thank you! :)

DO NOT STAY HERE! This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. We were allocated a windowless basement room which stank of damp and urine. we asked to move rooms but were told they were full and an air freshner spray was the best they could do! the on duty member of staff offered to prop open our door and the fire exit door to improve air flow. we declined, propping open s fire door is not safe and the hotel is opposite a park used by junkies, so not secure either. it had been a hot day so we wanted a shower but when my husband (who is an electrician) went into the cubicle he found that next to the shower head was an alcove with exposed wires where a lighg had been, needless to say we passed on using the shower out of fear of electrocution. The light in the foyer to our room was on a movement sensor which activated when either of us moved in the bed, shining through the badly fitted door. we got out as soon as possible the next morning after a sleepless night and all of our clothing smelt of damp. Our friends stayed in an upstairs room and reported a fan not working, the on duty member of staff tried to fix the problem by sticking a metal teaspoon into a live electrical socket, fortunately they stopoed him. None of the electrical appliances had P.A.T. test labels. This hotel is a health hazard, it's unsafe and should be shut down.
