About The Rokxy Townhouse - Kings Cross
The Rokxy Townhouse - Kings Cross occupies a Georgian terrace on Argyle Square, one of the quieter garden squares just back from the bustle of King's Cross Station. The building's period façade sits behind a small garden, giving the 40-room hotel a townhouse feel rather than the corporate block style common in the area.
Rooms come with thoughtful extras such as complimentary snacks and morning tea, and staff are attentive throughout the stay. Some rooms are on the small side, and a few bathrooms show their age, so it's worth setting expectations accordingly. Breakfast is served on site, and there's a restaurant and bar for evening drinks or a meal without having to venture out, plus an indoor swimming pool, a lift, luggage storage and concierge services for practical needs.
The location puts King's Cross Station and Camden Market within easy reach, and the surrounding streets offer plenty of pubs, restaurants and other eateries nearby. Free on-site parking is available, which is a genuine rarity in this part of central London.

What guests say
I feel like this could have been a 5 star stay, but there were a few things that are easily fixable that detracted from our stay. Pros: location is fantastic, kings cross station is a few minutes walk. decor is newer, so the room has a fresh style for the most part. The handwritten notes, the welcome gift and welcome sandwich, the snacks in the mini bar and the tea in the morning were all really sweet touches and the good reviews about service were why we booked this place. It’s also a quiet street. Shower had great water pressure and hot water. Cons: our room was a superior double, on the ground floor and the front entrance to the building was on the other side of the wall from where the head of our bed was, and the front door slams shut, so once tea starts to be brought around around 7-8am or guests are coming or going, the constant slamming wakes us up and shakes the bed. We never got a chance to sleep in which is really unfortunate when we’re jet lagged on vacation. While the tea is a nice touch, it’s delivered earlier than we rise, and it becomes cold very quickly because our hotel room door is right beside the front entrance so the only morning we had any tea was the morning we checked out. The front entryway had a mildew smell (no smells once in our room though). Not so much a con, but our bed was really high off the ground which was convenient for storing suitcases but weird to climb on and off of. Pictures of other rooms overall seemed to look nicer than ours, and had wood floors, latticed window shutters, etc so I was mildly disappointed. Also I’ve since learned there was an arcade room but you’re not provided any information about the hotel so we never knew it existed until now. Communication/information needs to be better provided. Our room had no safe, no box of tissues, no full length mirrors. Also, we booked on Expedia and it says that we are greeted by host at check in, but there is no check-in, you actually just receive a text message with the building number, room number, and the code to be used for both. I actually really like this style of check in, BUT this needs to be updated/communicated properly on Expedia because we were very confused upon arrival and it’s kind of annoying when you arrive but can’t actually access any of the buildings (and you’re jet lagged and tired and haven’t checked your text messages yet).

Really enjoyed my stay here. The location is great and made everything easy to get to. A few small touches – the complimentary tea in the morning was unexpected but really nice. The staff were genuinely lovely and helpful throughout. Overall, a comfortable stay with good service and thoughtful details. I’d stay again. P.S. Peter makes the best cocktails the town.

5 stars. I had a brilliant stay at Roxy Townhouses and Residences in King’s Cross. The location is excellent, very close to the train station, and the value was great. The service was friendly, helpful and always delivered with a smile. I also left my new Metcon Nikes behind, and the team got them back to me with no trouble at all, which says a lot about the way they look after guests. Because of that level of service, this will now be my local place to stay in London, and my extended team. Highly recommended.

Excellent location with a personal service you won't believe ❤️. Mike checked us in and made sure our suitcases were in our room for the free early check in. A birthday card, light bulb balloons and gift were waiting for us, as were the complimentary drinks and sandwiches. All was clean and cute , the bed was amazing (and I'm picky 😅) and in the morning complementary room service was waiting for us: we woke to English breakfast tea, biscuits and the newspaper. Brilliant stay, definitely recommend! Thank you Mike, for making this stay special.
