About Citadines Barbican London
Citadines Barbican London suits travellers who want a base for a few nights or a few weeks, rather than a quick overnight stop. With 129 rooms set up more like apartments than standard hotel rooms, it works well for anyone who prefers to have a kitchenette on hand, whether that means families, business travellers on extended assignments, or visitors keen to save money by preparing some of their own meals.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, and in-room drinks, and there's a 24-hour coffee machine for guests who keep odd hours. Breakfast is available, and the property also has a gym, business services and meeting rooms, making it as workable for a work trip as a leisure one. Practical extras include laundry service, luggage storage, porter services and accessible rooms, plus lift access throughout. Pets are welcome, which is worth knowing if you're travelling with an animal.
The location on Goswell Road puts guests within reach of the Barbican Centre and St Paul's Cathedral, with pubs, bars and restaurants nearby and good public transport connections for exploring further into London. Staff are generally friendly and rooms are kept clean and well-equipped, though some visitors have found service can be inconsistent at times. For the price, it remains a solid, practical choice in a central location.
What guests say
The location is pretty good and central, direct walkable Elizabeth line to LHR, and the underground just down the street. The room was equipped with a small kitchen and all the necessities like iron and ironing board. The room was spic and span, very well cleaned. There was no view from the hotel room. The service could be better I think. We wanted to check in earlier and it was kind for the front desk to see if that was possible. There was no information given during check in. (Things like that there is no cleaning and restock, where to get amenities) and so on. I had to ask for everything myself. For the price you’re paying, it was disappointing.

Pros 1. Stone throws away from Barbicon, St. Pauls, Smithfield Mkt, Silk street offices etc etc 2. Room is quite spacious for 2 with large pieces of luggage 3 Checkin very quick and plans are quickly told, what is not included and their prices 4. Not bcoz she is an Indian origin, but Sini Nair was very happy to even suggest us 100% veg options for breakfast close by. 5. Has a free Coffee machine, 24 hrs, a real nice Swiss machine, which serves all varieties of coffee including decaf, teas and hot chocolate in the lobby. The kettle and the kit in the room is also well stuffed. 6. Free wifi, gym, which are stds 7. Security is very good with right from entry access controlled 8. Grooming kits etc need to be asked for 8. Though our pack didnt include bfast, I took a view to find no hot veg options. 9. On the overall rating, would recommend with a 9.5/10. 0.5 cut for improvements in the cleanliness of small things like the iron box, board etc probably seldom used. Was a 1 night stay, but wud certainly come again if needed.

We stayed here for 2 nights during our London trip. The location was excellent, just a short walk from both Barbican and Farringdon stations. Our room was spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was surprisingly large for London standards. We didn’t notice any noise from the street, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, a wonderful stay. Highly recommended!
